I have a question. The point is 6 and I layed $375 on the 6 and the 7 rolled. I thought i should get paid $312 minus the vig ($15) for a total of 297. Is that correct on a 6 no wager. I took $375 that was layed on the 6, odds are 5 to 6 which came out to $312 and since it's $5 for every hundred, i got $15 vig.
Another one is the point is 6 and I layed $375 on the 5 and the 7 rolled. I thought it was odds 2 to 3 its $250 minus the $12 vig for $238
I'm confused. Thanks.

They might have rounded up $1 on the vig.

thanks for the response. I"m still confused because the $375 lay bet on the 5 was paid $320. I thought the payout should have been $297. The way I thought it should have been paid was $375 was divided by 6 and multiply by 5 to come up with $312 then take $15 for vig because it was $300. Do you mind showing me the correct way to pay out that bet. I'm really confused because I thought the odds would pay 5 to 6. Thanks

Laying $375 on the 6 should pay 375*5/6 = $312 before vig. The vig would be $16, for a total payout of 312-16 = $296.
Laying $375 on the 5 should pay 375*2/3 = $250 before vig. The vig would be $12, for a total payout of 250-12 = $238.
Sounds like dealers made an error in your favor, especially if they paid $320 on that no-5. You should be making that bet ALL DAY LONG if you can.
