We just got back from Vegas, where I have notices a trend of "tall" craps tables at casino on the strip. Encore seemed to tallest. Granted I'm 5'8" and my buddy 6' but either of us felt comfortable at either Encore or Wynn shooting. We also played at Palazzo and the Cromwell both seemed a little tall and bounce. We even found a couple of shaky craps tables, that's was a first for me in Vegas. Finially went downtown found tables someone that seemed more normal. Has anyone else notice this trend of taller craps tables?

It's not like the height of a basketball rim where a regulation is uniformly
followed. Chair rails vary quite a bit, in my experience, by as much as 3
inches or so. The height of the deck-surface can also vary quite a bit.
I suspect you're sensitive to height because you like to try to influence the
dice and, at 5'8", you would definitely find higher chair rails quite awkward.
Many have noted a trend towards bouncier or slicker table surfaces and
pyramids over the years. Chair rail height in Vegas...I don't play often in
enough venues to tell. Maybe one of the frequent Vegas players here with
far more experience may lend their insight?

bottom line, you win or lose?Quote: JaxxbeeGranted I'm 5'8" and my buddy 6' but either of us felt comfortable at either Encore or Wynn shooting.
if lose... you blame being uncomfortable?
if won, you credit your skill at playing Craps?
this might sound very much like most Blackjack players where apon hitting their stiff hand and winning, they claim their skill is why they won and
when they hit their stiff hand and bust they always blame the Dealer.
forgot to mention they always blame the Dealer for getting stiff hands (the Dealer caused them to get stiffed instead of getting a 20)
