There is an equal chance in each group that you will get a 7 as a total... no?

To add juice to your thinking, my Roulette App lands on the number 7 quite often, like many many times. ;) So, why not bet 7 in real life too? And 7 is considered a lucky number, especially if it comes with two identical friends. :)

this answer makes the most sense

This one simple fact seems to escape the people who preach "winning percentage" when resolving a bet or combination of bets.

What craps bet, specifically, are you suggesting that will take advantage of this fact?

To supplement my own response and to further add even more juice to your 7 favoring, I went to my Roulette App and 7 came up 16 times within roughly 200 spins. It came up like 3 more times in spins I wasn't really counting. On my RA session I ended up over $59,000 using only number 7. This would have been really good had it been in real life although had this been real life I wouldn't have been gambling $100/$1,000 a spin, more like $1, so with 19 winning spins I would have ended up with $665 in my pocket in total. So more power to you for betting only 7s in craps if my Roulette App 7 wins is any indication of the frequency of 7 being a good number to bet. ;)

Someone should tell the casinos. I'm sure it is an oversight.

He's talking about Craps. :)

I don't know much about Craps, but don't players who make Pass bets bet for 7 and 11 (before a point is established)? So I don't understand what bet he is referring to.

I was listing all of the combinations of possible dice throws.
i was noting, that in each possible of the combinations that the number 7 is always there.
there are 6 out of 36 possible combinations that equal to 7
I didnt understand the payout odds, which made it seem as if only betting or wating on the 7 to come might be profitable.

It isn't profitable because the chance of a 7 is only 1/6 for each roll. If you make a Pass bet, the chance that the come out roll will be a 7 is only 1/6. The chance that the come out roll will be an 11 is 1/18.
The chance that you'll win on the come out roll is 1/6 + 1/18 = 0.22. The chance that you'll lose on the come out roll is 1/36 + 1/18+ 1/36 = 0.11. After a point is established, you will be more likely to lose because the chance of a 7 is higher than the chance of a point.
I will let you set one of the dice HOWEVER you want it.
That's right, you only have to roll the second die after you set up the first die HOWEVER you want it.
Quote: sodawaterI'll give you 4 to 1 on rolling a seven, and I'll even do you one better than the casino:

Let me set the die after I roll one die and we have a deal.

Wouldn't anything that slows the game down without effecting the edge actually help the individual player. Less decisions per hour, less losses.
