There is a new craps side bet called Ride the Line. It can be found in four properties in Colorado. It is quite simple, it pays based on the number of pass line wins before a shooter sevens-out.

Please click the link and let me know what you think. As always, I welcome all questions, comments, and especially corrections. The question for the poll is would you make this bet if already playing craps? Multiple votes allowed.

If the shooter throws a 2,3 or 12 coming out, does the Ride bet lose too?

The exploding sheep poll option is my favorite "Carnac the Magnificent" bit.

No, because it takes a seven-out to lose.

I was hoping someone would get that joke. With all due respect to your link, here is one with more footage from before and after he opened the envelope. I love watching Johnny trying to keep a straight face. This was also my favorite Carnac joke ever.

How can there be 7 different pay tables in 4 properties?

How is the count tracked? Does the boxman use a digital display, or is there a puck?

Interesting that it caps out at 11. Why not 19?

I would not play it. My style is to play pass line, maybe 6 and 8, and lots of come bets with odds. If a player has hit 11 points in a row I've made a bunch of money anyway.

Even though I bet the FireBet, I vote no.

If a shooter is good enough to win the FireBet, he probably would win this bet too. But the payouts suck for the first few levels.

Note: That opinion was achieved without looking at the HE table.

Those are all that are available from the game's developer. It could be that all 4 properties use the same one...

The big difference with the Firebet is that this bet doesn't just pay on points made. It also counts comeout winner 7's and 11's.

So Sharpshooter, with the added wins on 7/11's on come out rolls. Pass.

A single property would have just one pay table. They can choose which one according to how generous they want to be and their tolerance for risk.

All betting systems are equally worthless, but a modified positive progression system on the Pass Line is much better than this side bet.

Well, if I gotta trek to Colorado for it, I guess I ain't a gonna go read the math about the bet since a better bet would be that I'd expire at that altitude before reaching any of the four casinos that offer it.

Anyway, I'll stick to the pass/don't pass and maybe take a gander at that All/Tall/Small bet once or twice.
