I also remember the smokeyness of Casino Royale.
Thanks for the tip. Give Roy my best.
Quote: Santi854While I am on the subject of cheap tables, is $5 Pae Gow to be found anywhere in Vegas? That game has the most optimal Free-Drink-to-Expected-Loss ratio.
I love that! FD/EL!
Is there $5 craps out at the casino fka Sahara? Is it worth the monorail trip?
Quote: Santi854My OP was limited to the Strip. Let's expand the area. What about Fremont Street? Is there $3 or $5 craps there? Which casino would you recommend?
binions has $3 tables weekday mornings sometimes...they are quick to change it to $5 tho and $10 is most common...IIANM tho you are grandfathered in at $3 or $5...the fremont is famous for their 3 dollar table but it is only 2x odds last couple times i was there....the el cortez frequently has $3 tables 10x odds...and no matter what anyone tells you you can ALWAYS find a $5 table downtown...i have never been to main street station when they didn't have a $5 table---and i play there alot...20x odds too...

MGM should always grandfather you, I've never been kicked off a table at any of their casinos. CET is casino by casino.
I'm surprised MSS (Main Street Station, downtown) hasn't been mentioned. Many $5 tables, 20x odds, and great crews.
Dealers hate it.
Quote: teddysTry Palace Station for a $3 game.
Dealers hate it.
The best value in town isn't a $3 table, it's the $5 double odds table at the Venetian over by the sports book (speaking of dealers that hate).
Quote: MathExtremistI'm pretty sure Luxor routinely has $5 3/4/5x going midweek. I walked past one early Weds morning as I cut through Luxor on the way to Delano. Excalibur may as well.
Both Luxor and Excalibur have $5 3/4/5x tables, 24/7 to my knowledge/experience. I have not seen a $5 table at NYNY but I am not there in the morning after sunrise.

I gotta add here that not betting odds is the classy way to reduce the required bankroll to play craps at a given location.
Playing a $25 on the Cosmopolitan with single odds is far better than $3 with 20x odds at the Casino Royale if you have ANY concern for having a pleasant entertaining experience.
If you go to the SLS, you can get both tables adjacent to one another. I will play the $10 345x table over the $5 10x table almost every time. And of course, the people at the $5 are not usually betting max odds, and instead are betting hardways and prop bets(!!!)
Of course if you are truly concerned with the $0.10 per roll savings you get at the Casino Royale, hopefully you are getting enough rolls to make it worthwhile.
Gas money to get there and back should not be ignored if you are going to split this many hairs.

Since Steve Wynn started offering double odds to increase the cost of his $10 to $50 tables on the main floor, across the street, they opened a new craps table by the sports book that is not open 24/7 but when it is open it is $5 double odds.
The dealers HATE working this table and have been rude each and every time I go there and bet $5 with double odds and play to have fun.
You still get all the same free drinks as at any other table.
Find the sportsbook at the Venetian, and it's pretty close by.
When I played last, I think they opened at 10:00am or maybe 11:00am on a Saturday morning.
I would never have known about it except Teddy (from this forum) told me about it.

when I was at Binions last decade, they had the party pit near the front door.
included was a craps table operated by girls in sexy outfits.

Still this way as of yesterday; I was just there. I saw the table as I was being told that my step-son couldn't ride his self-balancing scooter on the Fremont Street Experience.
I had a full 10-minute conversation with the Security Officers riding their bicycles telling me how they were worried about being sued because my boy was having fun.
The end result of this conversation was me picking up the scooter and carrying it back to my car and letting the security officers know what I thought about them.
I would post the exact words I used to tell the security officers what I thought, but that would be against the TOS.
range? cost?

If you can find a $5 game there, play at O'Sheas. You will never get faster drink service in your life. Maybe at the Cromwell...Quote: DJTeddyBearI saw $5 and $10 craps at Cromwell last Tuesday around 10pm. Both were busy but neither were packed.
Excalibur has 5 dollars game with with 3/4/5 odds and Tall/Small/Make Them Up bet is available.
Most casinos in Downtown (Fremont's) are $5 bucks as well.
Sun Coast/Orleans do also have $5 game except no Fire Bet no Feature Bets.
They also have no problems giving you Red Bull including in a can. The drink service and cocktail waitresses are AWESOME.
I have seen Hawaiians here (IE: from the Cal, etc) with big action too. So if you like hanging with the Hawaiians, it's seeming to be their second home to the Cal these days.
