Haha. Just check your bank balance to make sure you didn't withdraw $4000 to win that $2000.
Who advised you to get drunk and blackout?Quote: longtimelancerGot totally drunk Friday night and played craps at Mirage playing the don't pass laying full odds and increased my bankroll 1 order of magnitude! Ohh.....probably the hooker who got the other 2k in chippies.
I suggest for your next visit, withdraw your life savings, mortgage everything you own, pop a few oxycontins, drink a pint of vodka and then try your luck at baccarat.
Or maybe just sigma derby.
The results might surprise you!

That doesn't mean anything. That happened to me, my buddy just told me I fell backwards while mooning someone. I musta landed on a stick or something...
I'm glad you won at craps, and I can appreciate getting your drink on as much as anyone - but it sounds like you were well beyond the limits of good taste. Did they kick you out of the casino, or did you stagger to your room on your own?

Same thing happened to me at the Venetian. I was with a group of people in Vegas I really didn't want to be with, and apparently decided drinking way too much was a good idea. I remember sitting down at one of those video dealer blackjack machines, but don't remember anything until I am back at Aria in bed with a pissed wife. Apparently I was doing all kinds of dumb stuff like standing on an 11 (and insisting that was the right move) and splitting 10s, etc. Long story short, made $700 by betting large amounts of money and getting lucky.
Now, how is it that I can play full-pay video poker with near perfect strategy stone sober and lose my shirt so often? C'est la vie.
Quote: sodawaterthe machines shouldnt even let you stand on 11
Agreed. It's like throwing away a Royal.

FWIW, I recommend not drinking AT ALL while gambling. I doubt Sally recommended that you drink!
My life would be much happier if none of the people I loved were hurt from alcohol use. I generally don't drink at all, and it pains me to see people who don't drink hurt by people who do. That's something I see plenty here in Las Vegas, unfortunately. It's all over the news too with drunk drivers killing people pretty frequently.
Please be careful folks!

I agree. I am very lucky not to have lost a ton of money since I had $2,000 in my pocket. If I had started losing, I think I would've gambled it all.
Actually, being drunk gave me the courage necessary to lay full odds on all of my don't pass bets. I wouldn't have the guts if sober. I was also betting at least one don't come as well with full odds.
Also, being hung-over Saturday prevented me from gambling much because I felt like crap all day long. Nevertheless, I won another $200 playing craps and Pai Gow Poker.
