e-Craps

they made 2 changes this month:

1) no more free slot play allowed
this is minor. I get $25/week in free slot play. it's chump change compared to the $10k/week I put thru the machine.

2) They increased the coin-in needed to get a point
normally, it's $1 coin-in = 1 point for slots.
for e-Craps (and e-Baccarat and e-Roulette), it was $2 coin-in for 1 point since they opened last year.

Now its been changed to $4 coin-in for 1 point.

i have the platinum rewards card. to get and maintain that lvl, you need 250k points per yr for slots which mean $500k thru e-Craps.
Now with the increased coin-in requirement, I needs $1M?!?!

F U Maryland Live. F U indeed!!!

And what does the Platnium card get you if I may ask?

Be happy you get anything out of the craps games. That play is long dead in LV.

Why are there constant major changes? Can't they get it right the first time and then merely make minor adjustments, if necessary.

Why are the benefits largely illusory? Either offer them or don't but don't load things up with so many hurdles.

Why are the benefit systems so woefully inadequate?

When you say on more FP, do you mean it cannot be used on ecraps, you Don't receive it or nobody gets it? Otherwise youre just going to lose the status and it just sucks for you. I've always thought these exceptions for points were never fair because the machines are never labeled to participate any different.

I still get free slot play offers. it's just that it cant be used on e-Craps anymore.
they now have a red plaque on every e-Craps machine saying free slot play cannot be used here.

When I was playing there and it had just opened, I was getting $5 in freeplay all the time, enticement to come back. I didn't really like playing there, so I would seek out a $5-min machine and make sure my theoretical loss was less than $5 for my play. They would still send the $5 offer.

Well, that's a boring scenario, big deal! $5! Who cares? Apparently, they did, they finally quit sending it. [g] But my point is maybe some players figured out the right amount of action to get nicer offers and still be able to work it for player advantage. Me, I didn't like the place enough to try to work it harder, wandering around in the unknown. The official Comp Policy promised close to zilch.

In the case of your $10k coin-in playing 3x4x5x with full odds, pass/DP line bets with full odds only, your EV would be -$32.60 or -$27.30, resp., remarkably enough. $25 for that action wouldnt give such a gambler player advantage, but it's more than they want to give back too. Plus free soda [g]. Even if only a small percent of players stick with pass/DP/full odds, the majority making all kinds of sucker bets, it still pisses them off to think about the few making out like that.

Maryland Live is the highest grossing casino in the Mid-Atlantic(MD, NJ, Penn, DE) and it is not really close. Parx is second and I believe Borgata is third.

ie: Resorts World in NYC?
