3/4/5x odds, $10min

My normal strategy:
passline + continuous come
after 5 #s hit, I press by Placing/Buying the # that just hit for $30.

The house edge for Place/Buy is between 1.52% and 2%, depending on the #.

but I've been thinking instead of doing that, what about increasing the flat bet to $15?
The HE is 1.41%. and then when you add odds, it's drops lower.

The problem is that some #s might not have any $ on it.

lets say the rolls are 6,4,8,8,6,4,8,8.
5 #s have repeated so I now increase the flat bet to $15.

but what if the next #s that roll are 5,9,10?

I now have $10flat/max odds on 4,6,8 and $15flat/max odds on 5,9,10.
I now have more $ on the table than what I want.

I could have less odds on the 5,9, and 10 but keeping track of which #s have what odds would be nightmare.

Any easy solution?

I would certainly have pressed my come after 5 numbers hit. If that come goes to a new number I would usually drop back to base bet on the next come. Although it gets complicated and you really have to pay attention on your bets the solution is to press any time a number hits. ie if you hit on a 1x number make a come of 2x, if you get paid a 3x make a 4x come or a whatever progression rate you want to use. This of course means that you might not cover a 'hot number' with the larger bet. But we all know that 'hot numbers' do not actually exist.

If I get all the numbers finally covered on come bets then I usually try and get them all up to a similar bet although a positive progression means that they never stay the same for long.
Be careful when you follow the masses, the M is sometimes silent.

When betting there are a couple of items to understand.

1..If your losing money the way your playing, all that betting at higher levels will
do is cause you to lose more money.

2...If your winning based on your throws and play, you can expect to make more
if you have an advantage, if you bet more on the numbers your hitting.

3...When it comes to pressing there are two schools, one is going for the big roll,
place your bets across and press all the numbers on the first hit and your off to
the races. Surely you cant lose that way and you brag all day tomorrow. (once a year)

or

Press when you have a decent profit in your rack. If you are one of those energetic
across the board betters, press only the numbers your hitting.

I like to start with 2 bets , one the pass line ( when i am throwing only) and
1 place bet on a number i like.
. If neither is a 4 or 10 i am also going to use one come bet
hoping to catch one. I will never, ever go over 3 bets until i make some money......period.

On others i play one come bet placed some where between roll 2-5 and i will never expand that until
i get a hit, or the roll indicates it is worth betting on.

The progression on come bets is a good idea as long as you dont allow yourself to be placed
all the way across before you hit anything... that is suicide.
