lay the 4 for $320 and place the 6 & 8 for $48
i really do like this play but the 4 obviously is killer.
6/7/8 account for 16 of the 36 outcomes so should appear ever 2.25 rolls in theory. I know that means nothing especially since are bet is not up for an extended time and the last 3 rolls have no influence on what is next but would this be a "good bet" if you wait for 3 rolls that did not result in a 6/7/8 then put it up?
Quote: bahdbwoyIf you were to just bet for one result- either win ~$50 or lose whatever your one bet bet/combination bet what would be your plan? You can jump in whenever you want on a shooter.. Would it be any different if you were the shooter?

So what happens when the stick often says:
"Four, little joe from kokamo"
"Seveeeeen-Out, line away"
ooops, just lost $419.
Believe me, it happens more frequently than you think.
Here's the best bet possible, for craps:
1.) Take out crisp $100 bill from your wallet/pocket
2.) Lay it on the felt; "Change Only!"
3.) Once the dealer pushes you the stack of red chips, simply pick them up and walk directly to the cashier/cage.
4.) You can do this as much as you want and you'll always be a winner.
anyways, just wondering what others would do for a 1 decision and quit bet..

Unless you're like me, and asked for red chips at a $50 minimum table. (What was a $50 minimum table doing at the Rio at 4 in the afternoon, anyway? It's not as if the WSOP Main Event had started yet.)

That's pretty funny. That's the kind of beatings I take when I play.

I saw this happen twice... not exactly as described but very close to it.
It's Friday about 8pm. Player walks up to a table and throws down $10,000 in cash. "Large chips please." He puts the chips in his pocket. Fast-forward to Sunday at noon, just before check-out. He goes to the cage and cashes in his $10k. Then goes to the hosts office and says "I bought in for ten thousand, comp me please." And the host says "I can't you didn't bet."
Another time a player walks up to a crowded $10 table and buys in for $200. He followed etiquette and bought in when the previous shooter 7'd out. "All red please," he asks. He puts the red in his rail. Next shooter -- and he makes no bets. Another shooter -- and no bets. But the third shooter goes on a tear with number after number and the dealer says to him "are you ready to bet?" "I'm OK," the player responds over and over again. About an hour later when the others are coloring up, this player takes his $200 and walks to the cage.
And for a "one decision player" --
I knew a guy who frequently came to Caesars. He'd walk up to a craps table -- any craps table -- and it wouldn't matter if the shooter was coming out or already had a point established. He would throw six $1,000 chips on the layout and say to the dealer "all the numbers." Whatever the result was would be his only bet. I always saw him hit a number. I never saw a 7 out.

Hello Alan. It's great having you back on the forum. The humor you instill has always made me laugh. Two questions about your reply...
1. At Caesars, is cashing out $10,000.usd in chips done without question as to who you are, SS# etc.? Regarding your specific example, some casino's and hosts and reps used to insist on $10,000.usd in front money. Sure, you were expected to play a certain number of hours a day and at or above a certain average. I saw many $5.usd players putting $10,000.usd in the cage just to get comped the room, food, and flight(charter flight).
2. "I never saw a 7 out".....as I say, good humor for a Saturday afternoon. Eighteen yo's in a row, no seven or any other number. The legacy continues. As a footnote, are you saying he did this for one roll only? So no 7's, 11's, or 2's or 3's or 12's ?
