My last couple of trips to Laughlin there was more resistance to setting the
dice than i have seen in years. I was also told recently Wendover will not
allow you to set the dice.
A couple of years ago we were banned from a tribal casino in Wisconsin. I played
there alot and the crews did not want that to happen, but the higher ups wanted
that. Within 8-9 month you could go there and the whole pit was almost empty, no
one was on the large table and the crew was not making any tips.
About a year ago they opened it back up, we have been treated about as well
as any casino could treat you. The crew is very happen because they get to
keep their tips, When we play we almost always get a free dinner offered.
They are making money, they know we set the dice and they actually hope
we do well, knowing we bring others to the table.
We are heading back to Laughlin soon and i spoke by phone with a pit boss
there. He indicated the policy is they dont want setters, but if a person
plays quickly it may be allowed to some extend. For me there is only 4 tables in
town that fit my throw ok, so i hope it works. If not i will just take a ride to
vegas and play for the evenings.
My personel feeling is and has been dice setting is the best thing to ever
happen to a casino craps pit. The wanna be's lose far more than the couple of
people that actually make it work.

There are Players and there are Dice Setters and there are Wanna-Be Dice Setters .... and ain't nobody cares at all as long as you pick up two dice and throw them without delay!

If it takes you more than two seconds to set your dice you don't know what you're doing.
