Hello Forum-

Does anyone have any insight into the conditions in Atlantic City for craps tables? 3-4-5? Any 10x or better tables? How about vig on the 4 and/or 10 (up front or on win only)?

Thinking bout taking a trip to the east coast, wondering if a drive up to AC is warranted. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Borgata has full 5x odds, the Trop is 345. Valley Forge in the Philly area is 10x odds, but it's nowhere near as cool/fun as the AC casinos.

Depending where you are, a drive to Harrahs Cherokee, NC will get you a much better craps game than AC.

10x odds, Vig on win for the Buy 4.5.9.10

Only 2x on field
Fire bet

I play craps in AC at least once a month, mostly at the CET or Trump properties.
Pay the vig up front when buying the 4 and/or 10.
All have 5x odds except Bally's, which has 10x odds.
Caesars, Showboat and Harrahs have the fire bet, Ballys and Trump do not.
Showboat has 4 tables + 1 in the party pit (open Fri & Sat only). Mins are usually $10 or $15 (maybe $5 when slow).
Taj has 10 tables (haven't seen more than 8 open in awhile). Mins are $10-$25 ($5 is rare).
Ballys has 5 or 6 tables. Mins are $10-$25 (never $5).
Caesars has 12 tables (all will be open on Saturday nights). Mins are $10 or $25 (they skip $15 for some reason & never $5).
Plaza has 3 tables. Mins are $5-$15 (ocasionally $3 w/10x odds when it is slow).
Field pays double on 2 and 12.

Forgot to mention that you can go a little higher on odds with certain bets at most casinos.
$15 can go to $100 odds on the 5 & 9 and $125 odds on the 6 & 8. Strictly 5x max on the 4 & 10.

NJchief gave a great response. Just wanted to add, if you've never been at a straight up 5x table, when your line bet is an odd number like $5 they will let you go up to 6x on the 5/9. So $5 line bet, $30 odds, since $25 wouldn't pay fairly.

Edit, he beat me, but yeah my experience at $5 tables.

You also get a break in AC casinos if you want to buy the 4 and 10 for under $40... a $35 10 has a $1 vig same as a $20.

Don't forget...

In AC, toke place bets are +EV. (Well, + for the dealers...) Details:
