What's next, a thread about which pair of $400 shoes are most comfortable to stand around the table?
seriously, for those of us that play craps for more than a hobby, shoes are important to the craft .... by design, the game of Craps makes you stand so that you become tired quickly so comfortable shoes are an important factor to your Bankroll and ROI .... get what is comfortable for you
I lived on the Strip for 2 years and rolled out of bed to go practice and stand at the tables for up to 18 hours a day ... believe me shoes become a big part of your life when you do that .... AND especially when you walk the 2 miles from the MGM craps tables to the Caesars craps tables to boot (apologies for the pun)
So I did my research ..... Found out that the Wynn gave their Dealers a $100. credit to buy these Z-Coil shoes so I bought a pair to try
Dice Coach was intrigued and he bought a pair as did several other dice players ... they worked good for a year so I bought another pair ... then another dice player from the Gulf Coast turned me onto MBTs ("boost your balance, tone your thighs and stimulate circulation") ....... and I am hooked onto MBT's for standard dice tossing uniform
I'm going to eBay and get a pair. I'm sure broke dice players are auctioning them off right now.Quote: Harley

I hear ya about standing at the table and your feet killing you...
I used to wear dress shoes to the casino (along with slacks and a polo) but have long since given that up!
I got turned on to New*Balance...very nice shoes.
Speaking of shoes ... the Bellagio security has 2 cameras at every entrance to their casino: 1 camera aimed at your face and the other aimed at your shoes .... according to their security personnel, they profile the players that visit their casino by their shoes to verify if they are there for entertainment purposes or if they should worry about protecting their assets from said shoe wearer if he does not match their upscale player profile.
I had a sore big toe for a few days after, and while I'm not sure why, I think it was the walking that did it.
But I will tell you that I am actually focusing more on the shirt than the shoes myself. I've found that certain shirts restrict my throw by tugging and pulling as I'm trying to throw.
I have found that very loose shirts work best for me (loose T-shirts that are generally too big to look right).
I have also found that the Golf Tee (X-tra large) I bought at the Wynn works great too. I have another logo'd shirt that is the same size and make that also works.
It's funny that the jokes are being made about this, but my point is that shirts do NOT help me throw at all. The less it feels like I'm wearing a shirt the better.
The 9 hardways in 10 throws I was not wearing a shirt, as I think several people know from watching the video.
I'm sure people will extrapolate to the idea that if you want to throw well, all you gotta do is take your shirt off (IE: the concentrate joke).
But hey, there ya go!
According to this website, though, the Z-coil is only one-upped by Nike Air max in Gimmickry.

A good dice sitter gets over his or her shot just like a pool shooter, you have to see the dice rotate to your target. A shorter player, particularly
one that is more stocky build tends to find their throw goes across in front of their chest, particularly on high tables like some at H's or
the B place in Atlantic city.... you cant get over the shot and you will pull it, by that i mean when the dice hit the table they are slanting to the
right and when they hit they bounch hard to the left... which eliminates any control you have.

If you are short, will the casino let you use a rest .

There are a couple of players that use their own props to gain height .... Las Vegas Ray walks with a metal brief case he stands on at the craps table, others use lifters in or on their shoes
AHigh is right about a nice large comfortable shirt ... IMO, they should never have full buttons down the front (Hawaii shirts are popular by a certain on axis craps teacher, but not really practical) and never tucked in .... no restrictions on movement
