[missed some part due to tuning in late]
I see a tilted computer screen on screen with some graphs and numbers (not readable), along with the sound of a guy eating chips.
The suspense is insurmountable. What is the meaning of the graphs and numbers? A weapon design? Clean energy forever? Next weeks winning lottery numbers? And what about the sound? Which brand are the chips? Who is eating them? And why is the chips-eating broadcast around the world?
At this point I gather friends and family to watch with me. This must be history in the making. Screw that black dude fondling a bible. This is the real deal.
Then, suddenly, the camera angle changes. The chips-eating-sound-maker is revealed. And he is wearing a blue shirt. A blue shirt!
Now we see it. The guy keeps eating chips ON CAMERA. In all his glory. And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, while I was already setting fire to my Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones DVDs - I would never watch this boring shit again - the guys starts drinking a coke. But not before carefully washing his hands to get the chips residue off, and drying his hands on kitchen tissue before disposing of it in the trashbin under the sink. Whoever wrote this thought of everything. Oscars!
Then we hear some talk about 7s-in-a-row-hard-way-back-to-back-oops-I'm-gonna-be-late-for-work and the end credits don't roll. What a cliffhanger.
I will - nay I must - tune in again next time!

:) Guess I need a new computer.
I am still having audio issues and working through problems.
I had another less than spectacular performance, but all my strategies were profiting by the time I got done.
But I got some more roll data.
Interesting results:
* I think I rolled aces seven times.
* I had twice as many sevens as normal in the first 15 rolls or so
* I rolled TONS of sevens overall, but most of them were during the comeout roll (my strategies are off on the comeout)
It was almost like the dice are random, and all the stuff that was missing before is there now -- more sevens and more aces!!
LOL.
I had four pairs back-to-back. And I think I rolled back-to-back pairs:
* Aces twice
* Hard ten once
* Hard eight once
I'll post up the data later, but it was at least a lot of fun seeing all the crazy stuff those dice were doing today.
I just wish I had someone to handle all the technical stuff so I could focus on just throwing the dice.
As far as me eating chips, I figured nobody was watching since nobody would even tell me that the audio was working.
GOD I AM FAT!!!

I would have written something, but chat and all the other options require registration...
Nobody is helping me with this, and it's hard to do everyone on my own. So it would help a lot to get feedback that at least one person is able to actually see the details that I am trying to show. That means the video is high enough quality and you can hear what I am saying and what-not.
People who are picking apart my data and the significance of what I'm doing, I appreciate that. But right now I am just focused on being able to do interactive sessions with people on the internet. And I need a good way for people to interact.
I have a phone too, and the phone number is listed, so even calling me to say it's working would be helpful at this early stage.
Thanks to you two guys and anybody else watching though. I will try to keep it entertaining though, and I hope you enjoyed watching me eat chips! LOL
I tuned in briefly and the video quality was fine, apart from the ads that played every 4 minutes or so. I didn't have any audio but perhaps that was something at my end.
I would make 1 small request to make viewing of the rolls a tiny bit easier. When you bring the dice in with the stick, would it be possible to drag them over to the field bubble and pause them there for just a half second or so to make the pips on the dice easier to read. sometimes I wasn't sure if I was looking at a 4 or a 6... but again that might just be my monitor or my eyes.
I would still suggest that you conduct an experiment where you throw only 1 die. Obviously this doesn't replicate the craps game play but if you can't find a way to control a single die then there's little chance of controlling 2 in any statistically useful way. What if you threw just 1 die and made an effort to throw fewer 6's, or conversely throw more 6's than expected. For example, make 360 throws and say "I'm going to avoid 6's". if you can keep the number of 6's substantially below 60 (let's say a target of 54 or something) then that would be something statistically significant. Or say "I'm going to throw more 6's" and attempt to throw 66 or more.
Again, if you can't achieve something like this with 1 die, I don't' see how you can possibly expect to throw 2 dice and believe that you can affect the outcome in any significant way. This is a neat idea regardless of the outcome.
I really want to get the audio working, and it's annoying because I currently don't have a way to monitor the audio of the feed myself, but I will probably get that figured out before the next broadcast.
I appreciate the feedback about not being able to see the outcome. I know what you're talking about and that will work great for the short term.
I am also going to come up with a way to make a web page that you can reload to show still images of the of the outcomes and the graphs at each stage. I've been thinking about how to do this, and I'll get something working soon. Much of the details are better prepared with PNG and GIF images in a web page then you can just scroll forwards and backwards through it and the video can be mostly for banter and/or verification in general that I am actually doing this as opposed to making things up.
I'll go ahead and throw in there that comments like those from Super Rick who say that what I am doing doesn't matter because I'm not in a casino, or what I'm doing doesn't matter for whatever reason, just keep that to yourself.
I do appreciate the help, and I don't need anybody to rain on my parade or make fun of me. I get plenty of that already, alright?

If anyone wants to rain on your parade, just do what everybody does with Nareed's posts - ignore them.

I totally disagree with Rick. Doing it on your table at home would mean it is possible. It might not convert 100% to a casino environment, but most of the impediments to success are equivalent at your home table and a casino table. If you could show me a statistically significant decrease in 7's, or increase in hardways, or.... at your home table I would follow you to a casino and back your attempt there.

:) Guess I need a new computer.
I'll try on my iPhone if I'm not busy next broadcast. Just installed the app.
Teddy may be coming by to help too .. which might make the whole thing more entertaining.
I really would like some input from people about what to do. I just ran 10x odds strategies this afternoon, and I've been plotting those, but aside from SOOPOO's challenge of fewer than 30 sevens in 200 rolls which I accomplished last night, I have nothing specific to go for.
I could try for another three hardways with no easy, but that's been done on film already.
Basically going for something that is hard enough to do to be impressive but easy enough for me to do to be realistic would be great.
If I have advanced enough notice, I can code up a strategy to track it and we could see the results in real-time.
And especially if we can get someone operating the camera, that would help to be able to tell what's going on with the charts and zoom in on the outcomes of each roll.
I may also be upgrading my internet to have more upstream bandwidth, but I need you guys to give me feedback if things are working right since I have my hands full just keeping all the things going.
I say stick with rolling the least amount as sevens possible. You could also throw a point and try to hit it. Sorta like how one would play in the casino?

Feel free to tune in early, and hopefully the audio and video quality issues are resolved. That is my big goal for this go-round.
When Teddy gets here we should have a cameraman which should allow for more easily telling what is going on compared to the camera on a tripod while I am shooting.
But I will try to make sure everything is fun to watch from now until about 8:30 if you want to tune in.

So I stuck around, watched a bit, and I saw ZERO influence of the dice.
They'd land hard and carom off into hell's acres.
Classic random rolling.
In addition, I changed to the 4242 set from the 6262 set in September per recommendations of my software's analysis specific to my theoretical throw bias. Since changing my set according to my software's suggestions, here are my results:
Total rolls: 1026
2) 24 2.34% - 2.78% = -0.44% (-4.50)-------- 2
3) 62 6.04% - 5.56% = 0.49% (+5.00)------------------- 3
4) 97 9.45% - 8.33% = 1.12% (+11.50)----------------------------- 4
5) 110 10.72% - 11.11% = -0.39% (-4.00)--------------------------------- 5
6) 152 14.81% - 13.89% = 0.93% (+9.50)--------------------------------------------- 6
7) 149 14.52% - 16.67% = -2.14% (-22.00)-------------------------------------------- 7
8) 144 14.04% - 13.89% = 0.15% (+1.50)------------------------------------------- 8
9) 123 11.99% - 11.11% = 0.88% (+9.00)------------------------------------ 9
10) 89 8.67% - 8.33% = 0.34% (+3.50)---------------------------10
11) 51 4.97% - 5.56% = -0.58% (-6.00)---------------11
12) 25 2.44% - 2.78% = -0.34% (-3.50)--------12
Total sevens 149 - Seven outs 108 (72.48%) - Seven winners 41 (27.52%)
Pairs 179 17.45% - 16.67% = 0.78% (+8.00 rolls)
Hards 130 12.67% - 11.11% = 1.56% (+16.00 rolls)
HiLos 49 4.78% - 5.56% = -0.78% (-8.00 rolls)
H2 24/10 ( 2.34% - 2.78% = -4.50)
H4 39/9 ( 3.80% - 2.78% = +10.50)
H6 31/6 ( 3.02% - 2.78% = +2.50)
H8 34/8 ( 3.31% - 2.78% = +5.50)
