Quote: HardAcesDoes anyone have an updated list of the casinos in Las Vegas that offer this bet? I couldn't find it on the site. I know Aria, Bellagio and Wynn offer it. Any one else? Any one downtown?
I know you're looking specifically at Vegas, but also look for the terminology "Bonus Craps." This is how Hollywood Tunica describes the All/Tall/Small bets. Last time I was there, I would have rolled an All/Tall/Small myself, and I think two or three other shooters hit those as well.
See the link here for their page on the side bet: Bonus_Craps
Hop Bets Inc, sold the Fire Bet to ShuffleMaster about a year ago, and that's when everyone started switching.
The sale of the Fire Bet likely led to conditions that allowed casinos to terminate their contract to pay for the fire bet and they got better deals from this bet (total guess, on my part and not fact!)

The former floor manager at Mandalay Bay, Perry Stasi invented the fire bet, and managed the operational revenue for a while. If I were to guess, ShuffleMaster got the short end of the stick on this transaction judging from how many places are reducing or dropping the fire bet in favor of the All's.
Thanks again.
I have been going to the GN since 2003 and have never seen it there unless they just placed it on one table in the last few months.Quote: HardAcesThanks for the info. I don't remember it being at Golden Nugget but I haven't been there for a while. Is it a relatively new addition there?
Thanks again.
Their pit has 5 craps tables.
The GN used to have 6x8x10x odds. They took that one down.

Whether they got the short end of the stick or not is debatable for sure, but I wouldn't say people are "dropping" the Fire Bet in place of Bonus Craps...
CET properties still tend to cling onto Fire Bet, and I'd say roughly half of the places I've seen offer the bet nowadays. I've only seen Bonus Craps at two places: River City in St Louis, and Hollywood Casino in Tunica. I've seen Sharp Shooter at as many places (Rising Star in Indiana and Rhythm City in Iowa).
I think nearly every CET property that is allowed to offer the Fire Bet (gaming regulations sometimes have a say in this) does offer the bet. That's 40 properties at least. I've seen it way more places than that too...
Frankly I couldn't read the graphic on the tables so I wrote Dice *****. I will tell you this: this side bet has the same rules and the same payout as Bonus Craps.
All of the craps layouts have been changed.
Do you think someone is trying to avoid paying fees to the owner of Bonus Craps?

Yes. It's my amateur legal opinion that the Bilski decision states that non-tangible ideas like a casino game can't be patented. The name of the game can be protected, but as I understand it, there is nothing to stop someone from copying a game exactly, as long as it doesn't have proprietary equipment, as long as you change the name.
This topic has been discussed before.

Probably. Unfortunately, entire games have been essentially copycatted within the last several years...not just side bets.

So I shouldn't bother with my side bet idea for Craps?
