You may want to figure your ROR, I myself like to have 100 of my max bets. I would suggest never overbetting your BR( easier said than done)

Ok so are you familiar with the SCORE acronym? If I am going to average 3.1 hands per hour anyway, why not save time and quit every time Im 3 hands up? Just move on to the next table or wait for reshuffle? Would this work as a strategy, with all else being the same, counting and basic strategy?

If you wanted to play $5/$10 stud, for example, a $4000 bankroll would be a good starting point. Bankroll Required to Move Up. It is best to wait until you have 400 big ... then simply keeping a $4000 base bankroll should do the trick.

Quitting every time you are up creates the illusions of mini wins, when you should be thinking of your entire gambling career as one long session. If you leave a table when the count is good because you are up 3 bets, you are LOSING money you could have earned. If you leave a table up 3 wins when the count is neutral or bad, that's ok, because you are lowering your hands played at -EV.
As a general rule, this will not work as a strategy, nor will anything like it. Find good rules, count down the decks (while watching or betting min), play when the count is good, and act like a gambler. The rest is up to you, but will have no impact on your long term results.
