I'm wondering if the game I play is E.S. or L.S.

The rules are no hole card, surrender any two cards against any dealer card before any more cards are pulled from the shoe. No surrender against Aces.
Thanks in advance.

No surrender against aces? Well, ace is pretty much the only card you would use early surrender against. This is for all practical purposes late surrender, the only change is you'll surrender 14 vs 10 before hole card check.

Here is the strategy: http://www.beatingbonuses.com/bjstrategy.php?decks=6&soft17=stand&doubleon=any2cards&peek=off&das=on&surrender=early&opt=1&btn=Calculate

Thanks for the verification, Don S. was asking me on another forum what game I play and didn't want to reply with a stupid answer.

The real reason I was wondering which surrender it is is to confirm my decision to learn L.S. index numbers for halves count. Thanks

Ooops, I thought this thread was about the merits of going to Surrender nightclub early or late. Nevermind.

Lets see... Early Surrender or Late Surrender?
A nightclub that hold 3,000, features "Named DJs", an off-limits pool, a series of cabanas where I'm sure no behavior is off limits, bottle service which I imagine means you pay 300 per bottle and get some half naked but smiling broad to do the pouring, dancing permitted but no defined dance floor. I don't know.

I'd vote for Early.... as in you'd have to get up real early to catch me paying 300dollars for a bottle of Grey Goose even if the broad that came with it did more than just pour the booze and ask for a tip.

Now as for Blackjack related Surrender.
Its all I can do to remember Simplified Basic Strategy ... so if Surrender is available to the other players, it sure ain't available to me.

LOL@$300 bottles. Maybe you could get that at Voodoo or some other lower end club but most clubs you're looking at $600. It's worth it though, we just did four bottles the other night at Tryst and from what I can remember it was a great time!

Well, lets see now: Four Bottles at 600 dollars a bottle ... carry the two, move the decimal point.. I think that works out to Two Thousand Four Hundred Dollars that you spent at Tryst .... and so let us know: did you get any from the broad pouring the bottle? Or is tryst only in the name? For that amount of money you should get more than just a tryst, you should get a six month lease on her.

I know for most people bottle service is outrageous... and infact it really is. But when you split it amongst people its not that bad. The poster bought four bottles of goose, so that means there was probably 12 people in his party (most clubs have 3 person max per bottle).

So 2,400 X .20 (mandatory tip for waitress) X .08 (sales tax) + 300 (tip for host) +100 tip for bouncer (table security guard)/ 12 people = approximately 300 bucks.

Now that is a lot of money to spend at a bar, but if I were spending the whole night at in the casino instead I could easily spend 300 bucks. To each there own... and having a table in a major night club is a way better experience then just going..
I like to play blackjack. I'm not addicted to gambling. I'm addicted to sitting in a semi-circle.

I get a lot of bottles comped to me, most of my friends are in nightlife and I do the clubs a few times a week. At Tryst, we started with a comp bottle then bought a second bottle then my buddy the floor manager gave us a buy one get one so it we only ended up paying for two bottles.

There were maybe 7 or 8 guys in the group and a few chicks. If you're tipping $300 to a host then you're doing something very wrong, namely going to the club without a connection. I have friends that are hosts at pretty much any club and I would never tip them and they wouldn't want me to. And $100 for security is insane unless they do something bigtime for you. Again, I've got a lot of friends in nightlife and the average table tips $20 to security. Now if you ask them to go get girls and they bring some good ones back then sure tip them extra. But doing that is a waste since 9 out of 10 times you'll end up with a group of bottle whores.

One last thing on tipping a host, they don't actually keep tips. All tips are pooled and clubs have ways to make sure every dime is turned in. Then management takes a big cut and the rest is divided up on a points basis based on how long you've been there, tables sold etc. So that's why my friends don't want me to tip them, they get hardly any of it back. XS and Tryst do have policies on weekends that you have to tip certain amounts for certain tables, if I goto XS on a Saturday my buddy will tell me how much for whatever table and I can make my choice then. But we do this shit way too often so I don't necessarily feel the need to have a dancefloor table at XS every weekend. Most of the time we bring our own chicks with us so a dancefloor is a waste since it's mainly good to pick up chicks.
