Another question: how professionals manage the bankroll given that they are good at basic strategy and a counting method?
Thanks,
HL

You need to find a system that works best for you. I had difficulty translating the running count to the true count but was able to find systems that didn't require it. I found Fred Renzi's unbalanced count KISS count worked best for me, as It starts simply and is easy to expand as your game grows strong.
I don't think there is any best system overall, just one you can find that works best for you.
I am doing some studies and finding these informative sites:
www.blackjackapprenticeship.com/recommended-blackjack-bankroll/
www.crapsdicecontrol.com/betting_spread.htmm
They touch some of the bet strategies.

Another excellent forum for discussing advantage play is the Blackjack Forum:

Hope this helps!

If you have the $ I'd honestly say just go through blackjackapprenticeship. They will train you properly and you will also gain a network of active full time counters to share information with. That being said, you don't need to pay $1 to learn to count. I describe all of that here in my "A to Z" counting cards in blackjack articles:Quote: HenryLThank you for sharing.
