Since learning how to make Monte Carlo sims I've been producing them for the various forms of advantage gambling I do/am considering doing. I want to make one for UK rules Blackjack (6D, double any, DAS, S17, ENHC, unlimited resplits, no surrender). This is for CSM blackjack played with perfect basic strategy.

Does anybody know what the probability is of each of the outcomes on any given hand? By which I mean the probability of:
Win,
push,
lose,
double and win,
double and lose; or
split?

Ages ago, Wizard did a Youtube video on deriving basic strategy in a spreadsheet.

(I can't find it at the moment; mostly because I'm not looking very hard.)

That spreadsheet seemed to include all the requested information. I believe it was downloadable... somewhere.

Best of luck!

blackjacklad,

The WoO has lists of the probabilities of various player outcomes: see

https://wizardofodds.com/games/blackjack/variance/

and scroll down a bit.

This is not specifically for UK rules, but perhaps it will help you.

Hope this helps!

Thanks guys, that's all really useful. With a little head scratching and a big cup of coffee I'm sure I'll be able to make sense of it all!

... In case you're still looking, this popped up.
I believe the EV for each choice relies on the probabilities you're looking for.
It has been a long time since I watched the video, so I don't remember exactly what is covered.
If you do find the download link for the spreadsheet, some of the back sheets will likely be extremely useful to you.

Enjoy the day!
May the cards fall in your favor.
