Hello,
I've recently transitioned into card counting and was wondering if some true count could lead to a player edge in the push your luck side bet.
I've done some reading about it but couldn't find any analysis that involves incorporating counts.
any suggestions or sources to read?
Thanks

The book Exhibit CAA has an analysis of this side bet as well as a couple of counts to target it, but I'm not going to plagiarize and post any of that here.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

This PYL side bet is definitely exploitable, as described by Discount Gambling.

The problem is this game is very complicated if the side bet amount is comparable to the main bet amount, because player needs to double down a lot less to compromise for side bet pushing.
What does CAA say about card counting about this game?
