Know you should double A7 against a 3 but should you hit or stand if your A7 is built from multiple cards, Ex: A, 2, 5?

Usually we only hit soft 18 vs the dealer's high cards. (Edited. I called A7 soft "17," too.)

However, you can use the Wizard's blackjack hand calculator to check the effects of card removal. Just put in the dealer's card and all of your cards and click "Calculate."

Do not hit a soft 18 against a dealer's 3 (or 4, 5, or 6, for that matter) unless you can double.

The way I’ve always played it: Double Soft 18 vs 3-6. Hit soft 18 if dealer “has you beat” i.e. showing 9, 10 or A. Otherwise stay
It’s all about making that GTA

I don’t understand why nobody speaks the obvious. An A,7 hand is counted as a soft 18.

I don’t follow your point. The OP mentioned that.

Merry Christmas! An Ace in Blackjack is counted as either 11 or one. Have fun!

Yeah I know how to play blackjack. Just missing your joke or point.

Merry Christmas.

For many years I have been confused if Christmas is 12/24 or 12/25. The joke here is that we work on the basic first.

It’s 12/25 unless one of your cards is an ace, in which case it is either 12/24 or 12/25.

18 is not a good hand.

The thread is titled "Soft 17", but the OP is describing a soft 18. Took me a minute to notice that as well.
