I'm curious if Eldorado taking over might have any effect on an old trespass by the former CET (for counting). Say, 5+ years back. Would the formation of a new company legally negate the original trespass? Has anyone figured out the new company's stance on AP?

From a legal standpoint (and I am NOT a lawyer so do not solely rely on this advice if at all) most trespass documents as well as most trespass laws state the trespass must be conferred by the legal owner or it's representatives.

New owners have not conferred this notice onto you so it should be fine and would make a legitimate legal defense imo. Especially if the casino name has changed. Then it's even stronger.

The quickest way to find out is get a Player card. If you are still trespassed they will tell you to leave (and if they try an arrest you have the defense you were obviously announcing your presence.). If they give you a player card then later if you are detained you have that as an added defense that you didn't know the trespass was still active through the new owners.

Of course, if you desire full anonymity, then don't get a player card.

EDIT:. Your thread title says merger. Is Eldorado taking over or is a merger and Cet still has investment in the operations. Big difference between the two!

This was the acquisition of CET by Eldorado, though they kept the "Caesars" name. Specific casinos haven't changed (this is a Vegas property), but the corporate entity owning it has.

I'd assume the management hasnt changed, either.
The difference between fiction and reality is that fiction is supposed to make sense.

Bill makes a valid point.

My experience with Casinos that change hands is they keep.on the previous employees including security and management.

That's probably not a hard and fast rule but it's easier to adopt a staff familiar with the property than fire them and replace them with new workers.

I also don't know what Union issues there may be but Union contracts may also play a part in keeping the old staff.

You do have a document I suppose that specifically states you are trespassed from the CET property. If the name doesn't match (because it's been sold) that makes such documents evidence in your favor that you were not banned by the current owners. (of course, the Casino will argue it's evidence you were)

Makes sense!

No document was provided, though they did zero out my rewards account though I was unrated. Trespass was verbal with the specific property, and also came with a threat that the tresspass was valid for any CET property. The latter is what I'm most interested in with the acquisition. Sounds like it's murky and I'm not going to find a clear answer.

I'm not a lawyer either, but...

Unless you have also moved, (and changed your face), getting a new players card won't work. Most casinos will search their system even if you say you've never been there before. The trespass will still be listed even if legally it shouldn't.

I'm not a lawyer.

With a quick Google search I found good info.

Hope it's helpful.
