1. At Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun when a table is being opened instead of individual decks of sealed cards being opened ( which I see in AC and LV ), a sealed plastic bag with one large carton of cards is opened. When I asked a dealer about this he said that the cards are "washed " in the back and then resealed in the bag and brought to the tables. I know that we have Ct. players on this forum and was wondering if any of them had any questions as to the validity of each package containing complete 52 card decks no matter the number of decks. ?

2. FYI.... Ocean Casino in AC has recently loosened their BJ rules. ALL tables now offer surrender and splitting up to 4 times.
Seems to me Ocean now has the best BJ in AC.

Mohegan Sun only, my admittedly dated experience is that new cards are brought out every other day.

New cards are given the full showy treatment of being checked. Both sides, top and bottom (cards are rotated and flipped). Decks are in sealed packets sealed when brought to the table. I've personally seen a dealer given grief by a floor when she has broken the seals on the packs without the floor being there to see it, although that particular floor was in many other ways a total dick (yes SHE was).

Day-olds come out in a sealed baggie, with some number of cards in each of eight unsealed packs. These cards are counted to insure that there are 416 actual cards, but they are not verified as to variety. Backs are spread looking for possible edges being different. No point in fanning them face up since they are in random sequence.

Haven't seen it with my own eyes in a while, so the routine may have changed.

Never seen opening routine at Foxwoods.
