Hey all,

Have trawled through the forum a bit to find the answer to this one but haven't been able to nail it.

Crown Casino, Melbourne:

Dealer hits S17
OBBO - when splitting, busted hands are lost immediately. If the dealer gets blackjack the player's original bet is taken only (in addition to whatever bets busted).
DAS allowed, two card total H9-11.
Can split twice (except for aces).

I am pretty sure that is an easy Hit. Under peek rules and dealer hits soft 17 then it's a marginal split: I get -53.95 for Hit and -52.02 for Split. Under ENHC it's a very clear Hit, -68.22 compared to -97.98 for splitting. Crown uses a kind of hybrid I think of the two for splitting so I'm figuring it must be somewhere in between those margins but still a Hit. I'm not sure what the strategy would be as well if you split. If for example on your second or third hands you ended up with 87 for 15 would you stand and hope the dealer blackjacks for a push?

It also occurs to me that I might need to alter my strategy for 88 vs. a 10 as well. On my second (or third) hand if I was to get say 15, would I stand? Standing on 16 seems obvious here. Dealer will blackjack 1/13 of the time giving me a push. 15 vs. a 10 I calculate as approximately -.03 better to hit in basic strategy.

Any advice on how I could calculate this in a more sophisticated manner would be appreciated :)

Thanks BlackjackGuy123.

I have read that before and it doesn't have a chart due to Crown changing to H17 since the Wizard visited but going over it again the Wizard referred to using MGP's Blackjack Combinatorial Analyzer so I will try to track that down.
