I guess I don't either.Quote: MichaelBluejayI don’t fault him for wondering.
After all, I've 'wondered' during some craps games in brick 'n mortar casinos, particularly when things were a bit hectic or some 'bounce' events took place.
I had similar experience with Bovada Blackjack live. I couldn't understand how dealer consistently get 8,9 or 10's exposed cards thus players will hit to bust with their bust cards. When dealer shows bust card then players will stand with their bust cards, then, dealer gets magic cards to NOT bust. I looked at your 42 hands, it is what's happening everyday there.
I wanted to play live blackjack thinking it's difficult to rig live games but somehow they do cheat. Could it be the chute? I don't know but there's so much technology with their Blackjack live game, they can do it at any stage of the game. Did they take out some 10's to favor the dealer? Why are all the cards scanned coming out of the chute?
Honestly, casinos don't really have to cheat because blackjack (specially multi deck) favors casinos so much that they don't really have to cheat unless they want to make more.
For now, I will limit playing blackjack live and stay with sporting bets, they can't cheat there. LOL
btw, they cheat at their poker games as well.

Quote: Rio(snip) Last night's session went 14-40, culminating in a 3-26 run losing. I understand losing streaks and bad runs happen. I get it. What I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around is how I can suffer so many bad beats (not sure if this is the right terminology... I'm a sports better so bare with me) during that run. Dealer hits 21 to my 20, 19, 18, etc (happened 8x during the 3-26 run and 12x during the night session). Just about all other losses either the dealer hits 20 to my 19, 19 to my 18, etc or is showing a 10 card to my 12,13,14, etc which playing basic strategy as I was, I hit and end up busting on majority if not all these hands.
(snip)
Sorry, at the moment I can't help you with the chances of those "bad beats".
I went through all the posts quickly and I couldn't see if someone already posted this
Also, I couldn't remember if you said "14-40", and "3-26" meant "win-loss" or "win-total bets" and didn't want to re-read the whole thread just to check (so I worked it out for both).
Rough chance of these runs (not counting the chances for pushing a hand):
3 "net wins" - 26 "games in total" = ~ 1/5,555
3 "net wins" - 29 "games in total" = ~ 1/26,041
14 "net wins" - 40 "games in total" = ~ 9.91%
14 "net wins" - 54 "games in total" = ~ 0.16619%
Rough chance of these runs (counting the chances for pushing a hand):
3 "net wins" - 26 "games in total" = ~ 1/33,003
3 "net wins" - 29 "games in total" = ~ 1/200,000
14 "net wins" - 40 "games in total" = ~ 3.13124%
14 "net wins" - 54 "games in total" = ~ 1/6,150
Note: I used the figures in the table titled "Summarized Net Win in Blackjack"### in the link below, to work out these "rough chances":

Fairly Important Update (about 235 pm):
The figure I used for "3 "net wins" - 29 "games in total" = ~ 1/200,000 ", is only "correct" if it happened for 29 games in total.
Getting a run of "3 wins out of the NEXT 29 games" over "40 (or 54) games played in total" will have a significantly higher chance of occurring (but I don't know what it would be).
The chance would also be higher for the scenarios below:
"3 "net wins" - 26 "games in total" = ~ 1/33,003"
"3 "net wins" - 26 "games in total" = ~ 1/5,555 "
"3 "net wins" - 29 "games in total" = ~ 1/26,041"
