I saw this game in the Four Queens in Vegas last year. When you hit a blackjack the dealer spins a wheel to determine your payout (10:1, 20:1, etc). The price of this is that for a $5 bet you pay $1 to play. To figure out the house edge, the pay table for the blackjack wheel is needed. Anyone know what this is?

I don't know about the paytable but I walked away from the new tables at the Golden Nugget when I saw that this side bet is mandatory, at least on the low-limit ($15?) tables where it was installed. Reminded me of the 25-cent ante on the $1 tables at Foxwoods. Seriously reduces the odds on blackjack when there's a required side bet.

Wow, mandatory side bets. That is actually worse than 6:5 blackjack. Ouch!

Well, the payout on a blackjack can be as much as $100 for a $5 bet. So it's not necessarily a terrible game. To calculate the house edge we'd need to know what the average payout is. The casino might not be willing to divulge this information.

Blackjack occurs less than once in 20 hands, so a maximum payout of 20:1 doesn't sound very appealing if you're trying to pay for a mandatory $1 sidebet on a $5 bet. The payout on the roulette wheel, as averaged over all possibilities, will need to be close to 6.5 to 1.
