"when to wong out?" -- this is a much more complicated question than it seems. First of all, it mostly comes down to personal preference and other stuff. Without knowing just about everything about your game (spread, ramp) what you want to maximize (hourly EV?), how long between shuffles you have to wait (you can't just wong out and jump right into a freshly shuffled shoe right next to you), etc.......there's really no saying.

Your initial edge over the house is 0.165%. So you would Wong out at -1.

As said RS, you don't Wong out as soon as edge is negative.

Yes,I understand that. It was poorly worded on my part.
I wasn't sure what the initial edge was and at what point I would no longer have an edge.

With a game this good, I would probably use a "play through" or play to at least TC -2 or even -3, since you have an edge off the top and these TC 0 and TC +1 hands aren't hurting you (like they would in a H17 6D game).Quote: teliotYour initial edge over the house is 0.165%. Wonging in OR out is personal preference, as others have stated... It comes down to your tolerance and what you're willing to give up in EV per hour for whatever reasons you have for doing so. If TC -2 hits your EV for $3/hour, then you're essentially making $3/hour more NOT to play that negative TC... However, in general it's a bit more noticeable if you always just sit out on negative counts or wong in on only positive counts... This is why some of us play off the top (even though it's a negative HE for us) and play down to something like TC -1. We don't want to get noticed table hopping or sitting out too often and since you have an even better game with an off the top player edge, I would certainly look to play a bit more (so not just wong out as soon as there is no edge) but of course I'm not going to be giving a ton of my EV back to the casino. I would probably wong out at TC -1 or TC -2, but again, that's just my answer for what my bankroll/spread/tolerance would be. If this is the only game in an hour or two around you and you're going to be playing here a lot, then I might play down to TC -2 for longevity by not getting noticed for sitting out and table hopping so often.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.
