I was reading the Wizard's write-up on the Lucky Lucky side bet (https://wizardofodds.com/games/blackjack/side-bets/lucky-lucky/) and I noticed that the house edge is actually reduced when the number of decks used to deal the game is increased. This seemed counter-intuitive to most other bets.

My question: are there other side bets (or general bets) where the house edge is reduced when the number of decks in the shoe is increased?

Here is a correct link.

It is normal for blackjack side bets to have a decrease in house edge as the number of decks increases, which is the opposite trend as blackjack itself. The reason is there are usually pays for pairs and three of a kinds, which are easier to form as the number of decks increase. In the case of the Lucky Lucky it is easier to form the 7-7-7 win as the number of decks increases. There may be more to play than just that.

The 21+3 BJ side bet is hugely dependent on the number of decks. One of the casinos I monitor video poker for vpfree2 has two deck and six deck with this bet. Six deck leaves a house edge on this side bet of 3.23% but the two deck game has a house edge on this bet of over 7-1/4%. (8 deck is 2.49%) If you could find a house that used 13 or more decks the edge would shift to the player. (Of course no such house exists!) As the "Wizard" indicates more trips and flushes occur with more decks. The fewer straights do not offset this enough. In lucky lucky, more suited 21s with more decks. Also less 6-7-8.
