Hey Everybody,
I encountered an electronic blackjack game that has a must-hit-by jackpot attached to it that is very close to hitting, which is the only reason I would play this game. I can't seem to find a house edge calculator that allows has the even money blackjack rule. The rules are:
1 Deck
Dealer Stands on Soft 17
Blackjack Pays 1:1
Late Surrender Available
No DAS
Split to 2 hands
Double 10/11 only
No RSA
I'm thinking the edge is somewhere around 2%, but I'd like to be able to find an exact figure. If anybody can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. I know the meter rise, so with an exact house edge I can calculate how much I can push through the machine and still have an edge. The game is in the very back of a very small casino, and sits empty much of the time, so there's at least a reasonable chance that I can hit the jackpot.

If you're playing for this must hit... Then simply find the "meter rate" of how much betting it costs to move the meter. Then find the maximum number of meter moves you might have to make. Then find your negative EV from the BJ game and if that's less than the amount of the jackpot then it's a great play =).

Playing it correctly means you've already won.

Wouldn't it be great if they added must hits to all the video blackjack machines, I hope that catches on. I can see how it might attract players looking for a nice pay off while playing "normal BJ" without having to make a side bet.Quote: Romes-2.27%
