Greetings,
I was hoping to get additional information on how much the house edge can be reduced in the 21+3 side bet with card counting. I found a bunch of articles about counting suits in order to count this side bet to increase the probability of a flush. However, I was curious how the high/low counting system affects the odds of the side bet, since I am using that system for the blackjack bet anyway. I would imagine straights and three of a kinds would be more likely with a really high or really low true count. Does anyone have any research to back this up?
Thanks!

Hi Shadow, and welcome to the forums!
If you check the other threads in the blackjack section there was one just a couple days ago inquiring about the 21+3 side bet. The end result is that you can actually gain a slight edge on the bet, but you're going to end up losing more money on the blackjack hands than you would make on the side bet. Also, you would need to use a specialized count and with the max bet $25 like it is everywhere it's really worth very little. If you're going to go on a counting endeavor, you're MUCH better off counting the actual blackjack game.

Like I said in my original post, I am familiar with the articles discussing counting the suits.
My question was regarding research having to do with the high/low count impact on the side bet. NOT the specialized suit counting system.

How exactly would Hi/Low help to beat that side bet? Um, you'd know when a lot of A-10's are left or 2-6's... So I guess you might have a 'slightly' increased chance of getting some kind of trips or 3 card straight? Even the article on AP Heat you were linked to shows the flushes are the most highly targeted part of the side bet, which Hi/Low will not help you with at all.
My educated guess is that Hi/Low won't even make the side bet a positive expectation. It would be pointless to attempt this endeavor; others have tried it already.
