Practice game yesterday, lost $6100 in a single shoe, at a $10 table (1K max).
Not a record for this practice game, but still a miserable result.
The max bet, 1K, was appropriate 5 times (very unusual). Lost all 5. Also lost an intermediate bet of $450, doubled.
The only good news is that none of the 5 max bets were split and/or doubled for losses......
Hired the Japanese twins to deal, payed double for the opportunity to lose....
Sometimes the game sucks........

So in your practice game you practice spreading $10 to $1,000? Not sure what you're practicing for as I don't think you'll ever be able to make those 2 bets in one shoe =P. Max bet $1k you could EASILY be up or down $10k.Quote: TwoFeathersATLI may regret this post later ( soon maybe ), but since the thread is active:

You quoted me just so I couldn't delete that didn't you?Quote: RomesSo in your practice game you practice spreading $10 to $1,000? Not sure what you're practicing for as I don't think you'll ever be able to make those 2 bets in one shoe =P. Max bet $1k you could EASILY be up or down $10k.
You MIGHT be a bad man....
$10 - $1000 spread? Do it regularly, although not regularly enough.
My closest casino is $15 - $1000, and you have to pay for drinks.
There's bastards in charge of North Carolina!
Hah, now I'm going to request a friend go with you and video you spreading $15-$1,000... and the following "No more blackjack" speech you receive =).Quote: TwoFeathersATLYou quoted me just so I couldn't delete that didn't you?

You missed something, all the casinos love me, I'm very lovable (at least by casinos)....;-(Quote: RomesHah, now I'm going to request a friend go with you and video you spreading $15-$1,000... and the following "No more blackjack" speech you receive =).
And doubt you can get permission for that video. Hell, they want even let me take a pic of a big loss when I ask. I need to talk to my host, I should be able to take a pic of 'losing' a couple K on one hand at a red chip table.
So much of the world is just 'so wrong'....
Just practice game, first shoe of the day, just now, like 60 seconds ago it ended.
Won 9 hands in a row, odd.
Then lost 10 hands in a row, now more odd.
I know the numbers always work out in the long run.
Just damn weird to see them so predictable in the short run, just 20 hands...
Yes, won $10 on twentieth hand (pretend money).
So, I thought - what the heck, pulled in at The Palace Casino on my way home, feeling like Superman. I played at my all time high at that time of $50 per hand.
I lost 8 hands straight and cried like a little girl on my way home. (well, I felt like crying like a little girl. But it did kind of remind me why it's called gambling. )
