According to the Sanford Wong newletter, a casino is offering h17,ds,rsa,es, 8D. This equates to a .02 advantage. Wong warns they back off counter quickly. What would be your recommended betting strategy, given the need for a lot of disguise?

Wow, have you mastered the early surrender basic strategy? I imagine that would come with a whole index of its own too.

Your strategy depends on the type of casino and your personal goals, but I'd play it safe if a local place had an advantage for just flat-betting basic strategy.

Indeed ES strategy would be fairly comprehensive, but if you just want cover advice I can give you some of the basics. Buy in for shorter amounts. If you're playing a quarter game buy in for like $200, you can always buy for more, and the PB's love to see that! You look like someone chasing their losses Use smaller bills. Buy in with $20's. What do you think of someone with just a couple hundred in $20's compared to someone buying in for $500 with crisp $100 bills? Drink, or pretend to be drinking a lot. This should be obvious.

Those were all things you can do that don't cost anything, i.e. Free Cover. There's cover plays you can obviously make that will cost you money/EV. Perhaps up your bet in a negative count the first shoe or two you play, so if you're being watched they see that and possibly write you off as a non-counter. Come off the top for more than your base bet. Make slightly incorrect basic strategy plays (surrender 13 or 14 to dealers 'big' card).

Just think about what you would do to catch a counter, then think of some cover/camouflage you could do to confuse those things. =)
Playing it correctly means you've already won.
