I was just backed off playing BJ (3 hours of 100-400 spread DD).
Going forward, if I just play video poker and craps, will I continue to get offers based on that play? Or will all offers stop?
There's a property that I have a good feeling about knows I'm a counter which is why I'm not getting the table-games offers anymore. Or else they just don't send out mail to table games players anymore (which I doubt). However, this property still sends me offers based on my VP play.
Some casinos will still send you table games offers even after you've been backed off (several times)...and the offers would keep coming in for another 2-3 months.
I've never heard of someone getting their VP mail cut-off due to a BJ back-off....but this isn't to say it isn't impossible. I've just never heard of it. However, I think either the two departments (machines vs tables) don't communicate with each other.....or else there's simply some sort of flag on someone's account that's like "Elgible for Table offers" and another for "Elgible for Slots offers".
I know of someone who was informally trespassed (ie: they told him he was trespassed, they chased him out, etc. but he never acknowledged the trespass) using a player's card [from BJ]......and has used the card in VP machines at other related properties [in a different area] and had no issues whatsoever. This could mean that either he 1) Wasn't actually trespassed, 2) Slots don't recognize a trespassed player's card, 3) The trespass only affects that casino or region, and not other regions.
You'll probably get slots offers and you probably won't get table games offers. /2-cents
Been 86'ed for playing slots and still received slot offers. It all depends on the place. If I were the OP I would just wait and see before continuing playing anymore -EV VP.Quote: RSMy 2 cents....

Quote: TomGYou should have asked them when they told you your black jack play was too good
I can imagine how that exchange might go...
House: Your blackjack play is too good for us. We decline to book any more of your action at blackjack. You are welcome to play any game other than blackjack.
Player: The free food and generous play offers are worth a fair bit to me every month, will I still get mailers?
House: Good catch. We say you're welcome to play anything but blackjack, but realistically, we've identified that you're an advantage player, and we really don't want anyone who has a tendency to beat us at our own game to play our games... so, thanks for being a sport, and we'll go ahead and discontinue those for you, to serve you better.
Maybe that's pessimistic of me, but I'm disinclined to suggest other things for them to take away when they're in a taketh away kind of mood.
I never before heard of anybody 86'ed for playing slots. Can you please elaborate.

If a slot manager gets sick of being beat in a promotion they will 86 you. Happened to me once at a small casino who couldnt take our action.
Quote: MasterhoudiniDepends on the property in my experience. I have had them basically freeze all my comps at certain properties, but from personal experience this is probably a minority- about 10% of casinos I've played at (hundreds).
Welcome to the forum, Masterhoudini, and thanks for the information!
