1. When splitting tens, can you split any ten value card? For example, if I have a 10 and a King, can I split them? I think you can, but I'm not positive.

2. Never played a game that offered surrender. When you do surrender, what is the signal for it? Or do you just say, "I surrender"?

1. Yes you can split any of them. This rule might vary by casino though. I am not sure since I never do it.

2. The hand signal for surrender is to draw a line behind the card with 1 finger. However, I ALWAYS say surrender and then draw the line. I have had a few times where a dealer just sees your hand go so they hit it. A lot of people signal for a hit by pointing at the card.

This depends on the house/table. If there's a doubt, ask "Can I split these?"
May the cards fall in your favor.

You lift both your hands Up. Better if you are also holding a white flag !!!

Seriously, the correct signal internationally is to draw a line behind and parallel to your box with 1 finger.
But when I played in the US (many years ago) I noticed that many dealers are not familiar with this signal.
Also the signal (especially if not done with a big movement) could be misunderstood for a Hit.
So its better just to say the word 'Surrender'

In Ontario, Spanish21 surrender is made using a 'gimme' signal: palm up, and repeatedly closing the fingers into a fist. No one uses the finger drag.

It's verbal in Connecticut. Some Vegas casinos used to have a lammer with the word surrender on it for the cameras.
