Quote: BuzzardI have not done the math yet, but it seems very countable to me.
Given that it is used on Internet casinos, I'm sure they shuffle after every hand.

Gee, if people are going to take me serious, I don't stand a chance. Like I can do math !

Part of that effort is writing new and updating old software reviews. In my look at Amaya software I came across a side bet in blackjack called Lucky 7. You can see the rules and odds in my blackjack appendix 8. Bottom line -- house edge of 49.89%. Have you ever seen worse?
That is pretty atrocious.
They should at least pay 3 on any one of your first two cards being a 7, instead of requiring that it's the first card. The edge would still be terrible but at least the hit rate would be high enough to keep the suckers hooked.
Sounds smart. I don't know how it could be done, but maybe look into the Facebook games. Most of them are fixed and people are dumb enough to pay to play them. High 5 says they're one of the ones which are legit Vegas style. It probably wouldn't be a productive idea besides proving it so.Quote: WizardIn part of my effort to try to monetize my Odds site better, I will be putting more of an emphasis on Internet gambling. Any way of estimating that?

gotta love it when you get somebody going with something like that!

I'd rather catch herpes than play that side bet!
Quote: DeucekiesIsn't this identical to the Super Sevens side game, with a dramatically worse payscale?
I think they tried to copy it, but didn't understand that the wins should be based on any seven in the first three cards. With Amaya, they must be consecutive, starting with the first card.

As someone with a mild case of Asperger Syndrome (self diagnosed), I often don't get jokes or understand when people are kidding. I hope nobody will find it insulting if I say this is probably true of a lot of members here.
I was gonna ask if maybe you slipped a digit somewhere, but I really don't wanna get my ass kicked.
But seriously, this seems the same as Super Sevens, with much lower payouts. They may be playing on the familiarity of Super Sevens and fleecing the ignorant.

In case anybody thinks I misunderstand the rules and that the sevens don't have to be consecutive, starting with the first, I submit this screenshot.
Here I bet $1 on the Lucky 7 on all three hands. Note that I got a seven as the first card on the right hand, which won $3. I got a 7 on the last hand as the second card, which lost. The $2 by the table limits sign were from the middle and left hands.
