I know basic strategy, but not casinos so much. I've won during two sessions of Royal Match 21, the large multi-player video blackjack with a televised dealer (Vegas MGM). I think in the past, it had funky bonuses and the standard payouts were no good, but thing seemed to have changed. It appears to offer all vegas rules, and claims to use 4 decks that are shuffled after 2/3 of the cards are used. It rakes in the money because all kinds of amateur players seem to like it, and make all kinds of silly mistakes. It also appears that some basic card-counting is quite easy (the game is slow because of the amateurs), but that would be based on one major assumption: the cards are shuffled each time a new dealer shows up. I'm concerned that although the cards are shuffled 2/3 of the way through, the switching of dealers has nothing to do with that. If I don't know exactly when the cards are shuffled, I can never get a true count, correct? Any thoughts?

Thanks - I'm here now, only for about 24 more hours...

Don't they have to tell you when the cards are being shuffled? There must be SOME indication...
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Nope! And most v-BJ is single deck shuffle after every round.

This game specifies that it uses 6 decks and reshuffles after 2/3. It also switches out dealers every now and then. The clear implication is that the deck is shuffled with each new dealer. My understanding of Vegas gambling regulations is that they take a dim view of any kind of misdirection. I wonder whether the game makers would take such a risk. But again, I don't really know. Oh and dealer hits on soft 17, but still the calculator puts the game at 99.42% payback. Assuming I know when the cards are shuffled, would a higher-level system (like Omega II) be worthwhile? I'm new to counting but that Omega II actually makes perfect sense to me.
Thanks for all your prompt replies.

You can't count this game. The shuffle points do not correlate with the changing of the dealer nor do they on a BJ table game.

Yeah I get it but could someone just humor me? Suppose that we did indeed know the shuffle point. I get that you don't, can't, and never will, but I won't quote anyone or anything...
