Or do you avoid it under all circumstances, no exceptions?
Otherwise, I avoid it in all circumstances.

lol! yeah, that one's happened to me, too.
Quote: renoWould you play the game if the dealer flashed their hole card repeatedly?
This should be a no-brainer, assuming you know the correct strategy to play. A known hole card easily overcomes the 1.65%-ish edge that 6:5 carries.

Ditto. Sometimes the signage is obscured.
I received a blackjack and was paid $12 for my $10 bet. I remember pointing at the payout and saying
"you shorted me." The dealer said "blackjacks pay 6:5." I thought she was kidding. I never heard
of such a thing. Of course, I left the table.
I will never let that happen again; unless I have an edge to overcome 6:5.

Sometimes signage and payouts take awhile to make it through the alcohol fog, but when its the only five dollar table what are you going to do?

Man up and play a $10 table!
If only. For me the only alternatives are:Quote: WhaleGeorgeMan up and play a $10 table!
A five dollar table, three fifteen dollar tables, three twenty dollar tables... all at 6:5 or I can play MiniBacc at 20 and up.
If I trek to a more distant Indian casino, it becomes several low limit 6:5 tables or several 25.00 and up 2:3 no mid shoe entry tables.
Low level blackjack with 3:2 is available only on the high seas and is played at lightening speed usually with all seats taken.

and i thought getting paid 6:5 was bad! hehe.

I caught that too. I chortled.
Key question: I found a 6 deck H17 RSA 87% pen 6:5 blackjack game close to where I live.
Could somebody please calculate for me, the minimum bet spread (min to max) needed to make a decent hourly rate at that game?
Is a 40:1 bet spread sufficient?
I don't want to experiment too deep in the 6:5 world, without knowing the math more precisely.
Is this a good plan of action for comps?
If you were going to cash out even after 100 blackjacks, well now it's more like 25 blackjacks with the HA being 4X higher and variance being the same. I'm sure somebody has better math for this but it looks bleak. Somebody told me to take triple odds in craps instead.

I think it's more about money, most of the E Blackjack in Vegas is 6-5 and they don't even have to pay a dealer.
