How would you play this?

At the BJ tournament in a "local" casino, 6 players play 12 rounds out of a 6-deck shoe. The top two players advance to the next stage. The last of the 12 rounds is played as the following:

1. Everyone's chips are counted. Everyone can see what other people have.
2. Each player writes down the number of chips he/she will bet for the final round on a piece of paper
3. After everyone's done writing down, everyone bets according to what they wrote down.

Basically, going into the final round, no one observes what others are betting before making your own bet, making the betting like a Final Jeopardy.

How would you bet given two variables:

A. You've been counting. The running count is (1) negative, (2) neutral, (3) or positive.
B. Your stack of chips. You are the (1) chip leader, (2) middle of the pack), (3) way down on the chips.

How would you play this?

Interesting. Counting has no place in a BJ tournament. Its all betting and strategy deviations. Like final Jeopardy, the question has very little to do with it. So bet optimally according to your stack not knowing whether you'll get a good or bad hand the last round.

Blackjack tournaments have another important element that Jeopardy does not: Someone goes first and makes their decisions, which can change the strategy for later players. Unless a "secret" wager is permitted, you could know to surrender or know that you have to double based on what someone else has done. Or that you have to hit a 19, because the person in front of you has 19, and if you both win with 19 you lose the tournament. Position in the final round of BJ is worth quite a bit.
