Does anyone know of a (free) software which can exactly (at least 2 decimals) tell me what is the winning percentage (ties count as lose) for hitting once on a hard 16 versus dealer 9 (and versus dealer 8) in a 4 deck game where dealer stand on soft 17 and respectively in a 2 deck game where dealer stand on soft 17 as well ? - (Also,) I need the same info for when the dealer hits soft 17.

Leaving out 8,8 which you'd split:
4D:
9,7 v 8 : -0.451179
10,6 v 8 : --0.450434
9,7 v 9 : -0.502797
10,6 v 9 : -0.502126
2D:
9,7 v 8 : -0.443663
10,6 v 8 : -0.442171
9,7 v 9 : -0.496081
10,6 v 9 : -0.494730
S/H17 won't make a difference. (Dealer could never make S17 with an 8 or 9 up).

Why would you count a tie as a loss? Because when you start with a hard 16 and end up with a tie that is a huge win.

Exactly my thought...ignoring the possibility of a tie is a mistake....and I'm certain will lead to a strategic error if you are "thinking outside the box"

It is about blackjack tournaments. There is some time when you really need to win your bet in order to advance to the next level or to win the game. And a push does not help you. This is somehow generally explained in Chapter 8 in Casino Tournament Strategy written by S. Wong, but the problem is that it does not specify for how many decks it should apply, and I think this may have an effect over the correct deviations from basic strategy. - If possible, I would also need the win percentage for standing on those numbers .. ?

The stand EV is published on the Wizards page. Since the dealer does not stand on 16 there is no tie and you can apply these numbers to your problem.

Thank you guys. Miplet, I have that chart too, but does not really fit my need. I need it for 2 and 4 decks and with at least 2 decimals.
I followed Mango J advice, and was trying to find the percentages on WoO website, but I was unsuccessful. Any links would help too.
Also if anyone knows a precise software which I can use to get these types of statistics would be exactly what I am looking for. Thanx.
