From Reno to Placerville, take 395 -> US50 through SouthLake, probably like 1½hours.
Placerville to Modesto via US50 / SR99 = 1½hours
Modesto to Reno via SR99 / I80 = 3hours
Reno to BattleMountain via I80 = 3 hours
So a total like 15 hours of continuous driving...I think you could make it in 18...

Battle Mountain is home to the Nevada Club, which has one BJ table that's only open on Saturday nights. So I need to get there around 9pm on 10/13. I missed getting a chip from Sportsmen's in Modesto because they were moving on the day I drove through town. And I apparently lost my chip from Red Hawk in Placerville. I'd like to consolidate as much success as possible into the period from midnight on 10/12 to 8pm on 10/14 (when I fly to Vegas from Reno).

Do you also have a 500 lose and run strategy? Thats the
only way the other strategy will work. You can't get up
after a 500 win, and just sit there and lose and lose when

Another session:
Started off with a blackjack, then lost a double down 4,7,2 against dealer 17
Up and down, tons of lows came out and wiped out the other guy at the table which left the high cards for me and the dealer, luckily, I was on the receiving end of the majority of the highs, won the next five hands and left +60
Trip is now +1600

Good penetration actually been finding some dealers at 75% (although the official penetration they are told to shoot for it 2/3)

I just think if you tightened up your count,
And opened up the spread a little,
you could make a lot more than the 10k you made this year.
I am averaging about 40 a year, just using Hi.lo and 1-8 black.
Granted, I am a degenerate, who barely works a real job,
But still...
(And I am playing in PA, 80% of my time at BJ.
Still love AC for tiles and relaxation though!)

Wong - I agree I could open things up and make more but I am conserative in that way. I realize I will probably not make 10k in a trip but I am happy with small wins over a longer period. Can you forgive me? :-)

Totally unrelated and self-serving but I'll be back in AC for Veteran's Day weekend at Bally's. Three nights comp'd in the Dennis building in a luxury room (not the suite though).

Sat down for first session of the day - immediately lost the first three hands - then won a hand then lost a double down (typical, 8,3, A dealer gets 17) - kept losing the shoe with tons oflows out - finally a good count and made it all back plus 200

By 1-8 black I assume you are referring to a bet spread, so that you bet $100.00 when the count is in favor of the house and $800.00 when it is in your favor. Don't the dealers and Floor Men get wise to this sudden shift in the amount of your bets?

Night session:
Played about 5 shoes...
up and down, down and up...even count
lost every double down...(which put me way beyond my 500 loss limit for a shoe)
down 1300
then, final shoe won a double down and took off running, got all the way back to even for the shoe and going to bed...
