Player has a hard 12-16, Dealer has a 2-6. The Wizard's chart indicates "Stand", but during actual play, the message box indicates: "The best play is to hit". Any thoughts?

You are looking at the Wiz's Simplified Strategy. It is designed for ease of use with a couple of plays against basic strategy. Most likely you were staying on a 12 against a dealer 2 or 3. The perfect play is to hit, but it says stay on the SS.

His chart says if you have a 12 and dealer has a 2 or 3. Hit. If you have 13-16 and dealer has a 2-6 you stay.

I had 12, dealer had 3, chart says to stand, gameplay says to hit.

Chart says to hit, actually. You may still be looking at the simple strategy.

You must have a different chart. The one on the Wizard of Odds website says "stand".

I think you need to stroll down and you will find the other chart and not the simple strategy.
