I had pocket 8s, flop comes A 8 4, I went all in against A8 and off course he got an ace on the river. He then told me sorry, said I deserved to win that hand and transfered back my $10. This is the first time something like this happens to me! If every player was like that I would be up big time by now.

Wow. Very odd behavior indeed.
Sure, he can be sorry he sucked out on you, but suck outs are part of the game too.
After all, it's not like he was bluffing or went in with garbage and sucked out...

That's the weirdest bad beat jackpot in history--having the money come from the other guy.
I bet he has a great mom, though.

He also told me to be careful not to go on tilt and to stop playing if this made me too mad.

I wouldn't have accepted the money. The interesting thing about most games, including poker, is that sometimes the better player doesn't win. If the better player is supposed to win every time then you should be playing War (then again, how can you be good or bad at War?). Bad beats are a part of game. Sometimes the work for you, sometimes against you.

That's an awesome story! Never heard of someone doing that in online poker. I wonder what his story is?

Strange. How does the transfer occur on their site? I was not aware that different players could transfer funds directly between their accounts. Could be a ploy to get his account number?

Yes, you can easily make player to player transfers as long as both confirm it. If people know eachother it's an esay way to borrow money or pay off bets they made online or even in person. One time I was down to 10 chips in a 180 person tourney, 1500 starting chips. For some reason one of the players said he would transfer $50 to my account if I made the final table, and another player chimed up and offered the same. Miraculously I won several all ins in a row and ended up winning the tourney (no BS) but of course they both stiffed me.

Full Tilt poker is a huge scam that stole players money more than the rake that they already take. I have never heard of player giving you the winnings from a hand the one against you. What is this guy Monty Brewster from Brewster's millions?
