Many years ago I witnessed the longest crap roll I ever saw at the Sands. At 2am on a weekday night I was playing BJ when several loud noises started imminating from the craps pit. I picked up my 300 in chips and went to a nearly full table and got next to a guy who was now pressing his bets near the hundreds. The shooter kept rolling as I jumped in betting comers and pressing on every other hit.
The guy rolling makes a point and the table is going nuts. He hits two sevens and a eleven on the comeouts and sets a four. He now rolled for over twenty minutes on that set hitting number after number. He made the four and started over with s similar roll. All the suits in the casino were scoping the mirrors above the now electric table.
I swear you could feel the psychic power flowing..... it was alive. When the man made another then another point he finally sevened out. The roll was over 60 minutes. I was uo over six grand and had at lease 1500 on the table. The guy next to me had to be up 80k and had at least 20K on the deck.
The big winner had to have a couple of security guys to move his racks of black. I went back to the BJ and three rollers later the sounds came back. This time I was shut out by the crowd but the second guy rolled for over 40 min. When he sevened out they shut down the table to lick their wounds.
Never before or since have I seen such rolls!

We were commenting about that record 154 rolls in May of 2009 at the Borgata. The roll lasted over 4 hours. The funny thing was that if you look at the data for the 14 craps tables for Borgata, the drop was actually a little low for that month. Supposedly no one truly capitalized on that event.
Borgata for months before and after May 2009 (14 tables).
Month | Drop
Apr-09 | $19,142,982
May-09 | $18,173,743
Jun-09 | $19,046,370
May-08 | $19,246,409
It was said that Borgata only lost $180K during the streak.
The 37 tables in downtown Las Vegas have a drop that is much smaller (per table) than the Borgata.
August-2010 | $16,948,052
But supposedly when the previous record was set 18 years ago at the California Casino in downtown Las Vegas, the high rollers flocked from other casinos to join in the action. The casino lost almost a million dollars on the table that night.
