Surely we can enjoy the almost-as-goods...
Oh Super Times Pay... why you only hit with a good multiplier on low hands?
Quote: RomesHow comes your "win" box in the first picture doesn't say 1200?
Snapped the pic before it finished counting :)
You can almost see that none of the buttons are lit, and I think the last digit of the win meter is midway between two digits...
I was on my way out, thought to try $100, and cashed at $801.50. Not bad for probably 30 minutes. Decided to stick around a little more after that. :)
Nice hits though. Getting a nice dealt hand is always great in STP/double STP/UTX.

Best available at this joint... otherwise it's 7/5 JoB. The hinterlands are not good for video poker, but video poker is still better than many of the slots.
Too bad it was for quarters....

You already had $1100 in the machine. Did that include winnings or do you just always play quarters with that much money? Still good hit. I have never hit a royal even on the app on my phone...
Quote: DnalorailedI have never hit a royal even on the app on my phone...
Interesting enough, I have a dozen or so royals a year in real casinos. But not hit a single royal on my iPhone and I played on my iPhone a lot lot, in order to practice strategies.
Oddly enough, I've hit 2 royals on VPW.....both on Deuces Wild (one just now on FPDW, another a while back on NSUD). And I really don't play all that much VP on the software.
I'd estimate I've played at least 50x in real life...and going from memory, I've hit 4 royals in real life (3 on 10-line....1 on single line).
Quote: 100xOddshm.. is super times play vulturable?
No, the multiplier is random and the award is on the hand currently being played.
Quote: 100xOddshm.. is super times play vulturable?
each hand is independent, so I would say no
Quote: 100xOddsbesides ultimate X, must hit slots, and 'around the clock' slots, any other games that are vulturable?
Any progressive, by its very nature, can be vulturable...unless it's capped...you just have to know when the EV is in your favor.

Absolutely. I set the clicky spinny thing on my watch back to 0.

How much do you play? Gut feeling says I expect to hit one about every 30 hours.

You should patent and copyright it Have a bonus hand game and add it to a triple play draw poker. then when you get dealt a FH, flush, str8 , 3k, or two pair, you can receive a free hand for every hand played. (;
QUICK BEFORE IGT BEATS YOU TO IT.

It's an old game. Very unlikely to be in your jurisdiction. .

Edited percentages.. thanks to Shadowless for pointing out my error.
Quote: rsactuaryimagine my disappointment. win of $2400 (41.3% chance) or $5600 (42.5% chance) or $8800 (14.6% chance) or $12000 (1.7% chance)
Edited percentages.. thanks to Shadowless for pointing out my error.
Here's how I got them, but I'm not 100% sure if it's correct. It adds up, though.
The 4 held deuces are cards 49, 50, 51, and 52.
That leaves 48 remaining, and there are four of each As, 3s, and 4s, for a total of 12 outs 12/48 to hit the low kicker (25%).
That means the chance of hitting a regular 4 deuces is 75%.
75%^3 = 42.1875%
(75%^2 * 25%) * 3 = 42.1875%
(75% * 25%^2) * 3 = 14.0625% (we multiply by three because it can end up in any one of the three games.)
25%^3 = 1.5625%
The only part that troubles me and seems incorrect is that the percentage of getting 3x four deuces without low kicker is the same as 2x four deuces no kicker plus 1x four deuces A/3/4 kicker.
It's coincidental 0 and 1 successes are equal. There are 3 positions for placing one success and the individual success probability (.25) is exactly 3 times less than the fail probability (.75). So the factors cancel to match the zero success case.
But initially, I was like, "Ah f***, that was so close to a dealt royal!" but then I thought about it for a few minutes, and realized, if I get a dealt royal, I'd much rather it be when I'm playing a larger amount, like $25 or $50 per spin....instead of a measly $1.25 per spin.
I been playing some on videopoker.com, just for fun, trying out new games and whatnot. I was playing Multi-Strike. Remember, just playing for fun. So sometimes, if I'd get something like 3 to a royal with a high pair, I'd say screw it, Imma go for the royal. Well, sure enough, I get to the top line on MS (8x?), and get 3 to a royal and a high pair. Natural instinct kicked in and I held the high pair. The next 2 cards I was dealt were the Jack and Ten of hearts, that would'a connected for the royal. But hey, 1) I did the correct play by holding the high pair and 2) It was for fake money. Would'a been cool to get 8x on a RF on MS, though. But whatever. No harm no foul.
Quote: RSIt was for fake money. Would'a been cool to get 8x on a RF on MS, though. But whatever. No harm no foul.
It's OK, you could have pretended that the machine locked up and waited for anyone at all to walk by before proceeding to not have the documents for your fake W2G... ;)
I say "if" because I don't know how it works on videopoker.com, but I'm pretty sure the Wiz said that it's constantly shuffling on the actual VP machines in casinos.
Quote: rsactuaryKeep in mind that *if* the cards are continuously shuffled while you played that the moment you hit the deal button if you were keeping the high pair vs the three to RF would be different and would result in different cards dealt.
Doesn't matter.
You don't hold the cards, you hit deal, you get different cards. Unless you have some insight into which cards you are going to get (you probably don't), assume that you have a fair and random chance of getting any particular remaining card in any particular draw position (matters for SRF).
If you do happen to know what cards are coming next, I'm sure you can find a backer.
Quote: rsactuaryI think you misunderstood my comment.. I think we agree.
Probably. You either want the cards you were dealt, or you want different cards. If the pack you draw from is continuously shuffled or not shouldn't matter... unless you know something.
lol at ending up w/a straight flush on all 3 lines.
unfortunately in the bonus round I got $0 :(
(the sadness of drawing 3A's and a kicker on BP instead of DDB...)
whats the game w/7x and 11x multiplers?
and why stp over ultimate X?

Hot roll poker. 1/6 chance to roll the dice, 7x average multiplier.
STP easier to play than UX, I says.
Still never had a Royal, but these will do in the meantime.
