Quote: IbeatyouracesWouldn't anybody?
Yeah, anyone, everyone.
Quote: IbeatyouracesYeah, I'm not paying for the extra games like BPD, BP, DB, DDB or DW. I just use the free JoB. Now if we can only find the 9/6 JoB version of DSTP in a casino :-D
They had it at Harrah's Rincon for a while. I played it a lot but never hit anything (what else is new).
Quote: BTLWIThe image is small but the payoff was big.
should have bet 20 credits :)
kidding.. congrats!

1) Nice hit!
2) How do you have 16.5k in on a dollar machine? Were you pinging royals left and right? =P Wait, just noticed the pay 12k+... Assuming a 3x multiplier of some sort? Where is it located and how do you get them? And now I'm realizing there's 20 lines and you probably hit the royal on 3 of the lines played...
3) I see a lot of people posting pictures from Spin Poker, but it's one VP game I haven't giving much analysis. Is there any particular reasons people play Spin Poker (both from an AP vantage and not)?
Quote: Mission146Cheating, doesn't count.jk
I wouldn't cheat a 2¢ game :-)
Royals only count on three-lines games, Max, anything else is cheating. Except dealt Royals, those count on anything.

Great. Now the NQAR thread will get inundated with 5 liners.
I suggest that Royals count if they're on at least 1/3 of the lines played with 4 held, at least 1/5 of the lines played with 3 held, or any hit on 2 or fewer held.
I'd also suggest that Sequential Royals always count, ascending, descending, whatever... if on a sequential royal game. (Standard rules apply if it's "only" 4000 coins instead of 50k.)
So I'll have to settle for it holding three :-)
Been ages since I've hit a $1000 one, and in this case, I wish it was max bet for three royals!
Quote: WizardofnothingIt's funny you say that about sequential I have hit well over 150 in my lifetime and not one has ever been sequential
I hit 1 that was a regular game with no bonus on sequential, TJQKAs. Took me 30-40 royals to get there. My 5th royal was dealt. Still waiting for my first 12x royal and 20x dstp royal.
Nice hit ibya.
really? That's incredible.Quote: IbeatyouracesOne thing I just thought of. Of all my royals, five now have been sequential. And all five were red (diamonds or hearts). None have been black (spades or clubs).
5 out of 5 Royals of your first RF's being sequential may even be harder than 30 loses in a row.Quote: WizardofnothingSomeone should run numbers on that/ it's like aces 30 losses in a row in blackjack

Do you have to bet five coins per line to get full paid on the Royals on yours? That's not the case on the ones I sometimes play, they pay 800-FOR-1 on a one coin bet.

Yep. The 2¢ one shown, a 1¢ one on hundred play was in diamonds. A quarter one in diamonds. Two nickel ones both in hearts and one of which I held just the ace of hearts. Tringlomane will remember the picture of it because we discussed the odds of it happening.
Five sequential in a row = (1/60)^5 = 1-in-777,600,000. This is MUCH more likely than losing 30 hands in a row. By a factor of a gazillion.Quote: IbeatyouracesYep. I never once said they were in a row. I have no idea who thought I said that and if I somehow did, it was a mistake. All I said was that all five were RED.

Even if they are on different tables?
...but, but the count was like REALLY high, so I was like guaranteed to win, right?!?!Quote: GWAEEven if they are on different tables?
Quote: WizardofnothingIt would not have been the same cards because the timing would have been different , I think we all but proven this through video poker.com faq swction
Only if she's pressing buttons more than once. She was betting 4 all along no different if she was pushing max bet.

Good catch though.

Man, I would LOVE to win $80,000! :) That's more than 4 years of work for me!(Okay, more like 2 years of work since taxes take out about half). :)
Um, has anyone ever seen Caesar's bar video poker games in Vegas? My buddy and I constantly joke that's the only real "3:2" they offer... the 3:2 being Full House / Flush on VP... (no they're not really 3:2 but they're god awful, like 6:5 at best).Quote: 100xOddswow.. lucky you that you've never seen a 6/5 JoB machine

Yeah, most CET bartops on the strip offer 6/5 JoB (95.00%) now, best game on those units is 30/6/5 "Bonus" (96.18%). The one exception is TAG lounge at Linq, which is awesome for me because I love their beer selection. Their best game is what most CET bartops used to be, 7/5 Triple Bonus Plus (97.67%).
Before August, I never saw a machine below 94.18% (8/5 Double Bonus) in a casino. But Bally's LV sunk to a new low...for a max bet of up to $10 a hand!!! They also offered these for pennies...
I give you 7/5 Double Bonus (93.11%)
And I had to take a double take on this one...91.42% Deuces!
I was shocked to see 6/5 JOB at the $5 denomination level. They should be ashamed of themselves that's just horrible.Quote: RomesUm, has anyone ever seen Caesar's bar video poker games in Vegas?
