So did I. It was a pleasant surprize not to find that I had to pay a small fortune to get a series of seminars telling me how to turn a negative expectation game into a positive expectation game.Quote: pocketacesha ha, very good post. Well done! I clicked on this thread expecting the worst...
We see 5.00 on Red or 5.00 on Black...but all the casinos sees is a relentless 26 cents flowing towards them.
If only I had the money to open up an online casino and own dozens of roulette wheels.

Wait, wait. The title says "step by step instructions." I see only one step. I feel ripped off :)
So, step two: buy a bunch of double zero wheels, right?

*downer alert*
Step 2, buy a lot of other casino games
Step 3, buy or build a casio
Step 4, hire qualified staff
Step 5, get licenses, etc.
Step 6, marketing
Step 7, etc., etc., etc.
I am not sure this is an easy way to beat roulette. By the time you have all your fixed costs, you may end up like any number of casinos that are going bankrupt.
On the other hand, if you set up in your garage, you may get an unexpected bonus feature.
But, the post had me laughing out loud.

Downer? Yeah, I guess so. I just looked at some news sources and four casinos are to be auctioned on the courthourse steps in Reno. One casino in Reno has pretty much stopped offering any gambling and has just been utilizing its liquor license.Quote: DorothyGaledowner alert
Also in the news is a bankruptcy court lock-in agreement involving several casinos in Mesquite,NV that seem to have expanded their debt load but not marketed themselves sufficiently well. Restructuring is such a bland term but I doubt the experience is quite so tolerable for the owners.
Is it that brick casinos are vulnerable in the age of click casinos or is it simply that brick casinos are vulnerable when times get tough and those rosy forecasts are suddenly worthless?

Yes.
Also that casinos, like all business, are only as good as the people who run them. Bad business decisions can bankrupt any kind of company. Debt in particular can be murder when the economy goes south; either because you can't pay or because the banks won't lend you enough (I had that problem, actually).
