Quote: MDawgI made it to the "in the money" stage for a tournament this weekend. Not all the way to the final table. So, a few thousand in promo.

Congrats!! Was it a BJ or baccarat tournament?
These at-the-stadium events are popular with locals who arrive at the stadium with their own transport usually. Casino suite, etc.
Who is the ‘Suitcase Man’ and could his legendary winnings happen in modern Las Vegas?
The Suitcase Man campaign
Caesars Entertainment is now capitalizing on the Suitcase Man’s story. “The Suitcase Man campaign illustrates the idea that the Horseshoe brand is all about the gambler,” Caesars Entertainment Public Relations Manager Kristin Soo Hoo told 8 News Now. “The story of the man with the suitcase (or the Suitcase Man) is now a Horseshoe legend, which inspired the campaign. It represents Horseshoe’s willingness to go all in on the biggest bets and the brand’s rich tradition of celebrating players and their wins.”
When 8 News Now asked if the new Horseshoe would honor any bet of any size like the ones Bergstrom made, Soo Hoo said, “Horseshoe Las Vegas will take any bet acceptable under the responsible gaming regulations in Nevada. We are proud to both celebrate our Horseshoe legacy and lead the way in responsible gaming in Nevada and across the nation for more than 30 years.”
Can I show up with a million and take a chance? Not on craps though, I wouldn't do that. Nor would I do it straight out the gate on a shuffle in Blackjack or Baccarat, unless I had some serious shuffle tracking knowledge, which sometimes I do.
Caesars' Entertainment is implying that those no limit days have returned to the Horseshoe.
Quote: MDawgAt least when Benny owned Binion's Horseshoe downtown, there were no max limits posted on their table games, and it was understood that you could bet any amount as long as it was your first bet. I recall this up until about 2004.

I saw Benny Binion a couple of times in his Casino in the mid1980s. Wikipedia describes him as a career criminal. During prohibition he shot and killed a Rum Runner in Texas and then he moved to Nevada and got into the gaming business. In those days they would give a license to anybody.
DD Blackjack.
Now that's more like it! This one was a breeze, too bad I wasn't betting very hard.

But there are ways to get around that, including asking for a different card distribution scheme. Everything is available...for a price. 👌

It seems like I always win the first Bacc session of the trip.... And that's a good reason to just stop, right there!

Well that was a waste. A very long season where I lost! Of course you can't know what is going to happen...until it happens.

Even among players who don't expect to win you find the types who get impatient and start throwing down at the wrong times, losing a lot, and the ones who just want to have some nice conversation, a nice meal, a nice stay, and then go home happy win or lose.

Casinos were built on these kind of people. They get frustrated and impatient because they have no idea what they're doing so they just start throwing money around like idiots. The fascinating thing is they don't act like this in any other part of their lives, only when they get inside a casino. Learning self control, or better yet already having self control, it's one of the biggest assets you can have in a casino. Knowing when to quit, knowing when to walk away, is almost as good as knowing how to win.
Consistency in play is definitely key.

Back on track, took a little while, but the cards were falling in my favor (most of the time).

The first day of Bacc play may always be a winner, but that doesn't mean it's the best day.

Did you and wifey celebrate? Or just another day at the tables?
Another watch for the wrist? Seafood tower? Charitable donation?
It is really hard to get a grasp on making more in a card session than most workers make in a 2,000 hour work year!
Congratulations! I’m going to go post now about my winning $10 sports bet….
Baccarat
A little slip. Well a big one but still I kept thinking, "You're way ahead from the last session" so I pressed on. But that's the problem sometimes with not viewing each session independently, which is of course the only way to play. I was never ahead this session though.

Still, that's better than betting small when winning, and big when losing!
“At a U2 concert in Glasgow, Bono asks the audience for some quiet. Then in the silence, he starts to slowly clap his hands. Holding the audience in total silence, he says into the microphone, 'Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies.' A voice from near the front pierces the silence: 'Well, stop clapping your fucking hands then!' "

Well then, plan to visit The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio.

Thank you. i have been to Wright Patterson many times since I grew up in Northern Ohio. I probably haven't been back in 20 years though.
I am currently planning a trip to McMinnville Oregon to go to the Evergreen Aviation Museum. https://www.evergreenmuseum.org/

Nice, you'll enjoy it.
Might I suggest you plan an additional jaunt?
Not too far from there is the Tillamook Air Museum, located in a former blimp hanger near the Oregon coast.
Lots of cool planes and things to see: a relatively unknown gem.

Maybe, but I suspect he'll be in his new LV mansion, the one he said he paid seven figures to buy.
I can envision it all now: him telling his slaves, I mean his servants, where to dig the pit to slow cook a camel for dinner.
Or he could just be at his true passages site, making up yet more fiction to spew across the gullible gambling forums.
When you fancy yourself the king of sin city the sky is your limit.

There's enough to unpack in that one that I don't mind saying "duration TBD" and it will be discussed around the green table.

If it is, you'll have to suspend 90% of the people in the How Much Gamble to you have multiple times over.
I never complain about a justified suspension. This wouldn't be a justifiable suspension.

Pretty solid and consistent there were some very good sections which I hit well but it was not a very long session so I didn't make as much as I could have.
