Odds on Marcus Winning Next Session

Being a sports handicapper, I thought I'd try to handicap the odds that Marcus will report a winning session next time he plays baccarat, a negative expectation game. I pegged him at -3800, but help me out and predict his odds of victory.

Of course, I'm probably just jealous of Marcus and his learned mentor. Just remember from Cabaret, "Everybody loves a winner, so nobody loves me."

Well, it's like this. You either stand for something or you stand for nothing.

I'd love to support the idea that Marcus' threads belong under "Betting Systems," but then it occurred to me. If you're in the "Betting Systems" section, you should probably have a betting system, or at least make one up. Without explicating a system, it's tough to define what you are doing as a "Betting System."

For example, when picking the NFL, I recommend psilocybin, ether, a cuba libra with a Corona chaser, and a dartboard with numbers assigned to the teams. That, at least, is a system. You can knock it, but I'll tell you once more (as I get off the floor) it is indeed a system. It is formal. It has rules.

Reporting of winning hands after the fact, based on an opaque unstated non-methodology -- that ain't a system. That's just a trip report.

While darts can be quite pointy, it sounds like it compares quite favorably with a number of other systems.

Never offer a line in which a participant, or someone colluding with a participant, can control the outcome.
