How does that apply to MDawg's trip reports?

Jacobson wrote about a Bac player who won 10s of million$ over a period of 3 years.

No system detail, session records, trip reports, photos, or any explanation of any kind was provided, except to say that the guy got lucky.

Yet Jacobson's big player's math-defying winning ways was accepted with open arms by the same group of members who insist that it's not possible.

Can you explain that?

I accept that a player can win playing a -EV game over several years, especially since we are not talking about playing every day, more like several trips a year lasting for several days, maybe even weeks at a time. So that is still a relatively small sample size. And if a player were to go on that kind of run playing high stakes that could amount to winning 7 figures, as per Eliot's example. (which if I am not mistaken ended up with the player losing it all back.....because that is the way -EV play works).

But I reject your comparison of Mdawg's "adventures" to the example that Eliot provided. there are several differences which matter a great deal.

1.) Mdawg never loses. Not a session, not a day, certainly not a trip. That is not the way gambling works and you know it. Luckiest person on the face of the earth or not.

2.) Mdawg announced this time last year on one of his trips that he would continue to win.....and then has done just that.

3.) Then you have to consider all Mdawgs other antics. His stock market picks....every one also a winner.

I mean come on, I know you like to play instigator, but there comes a time when you have to call out the guy peeing on your leg and telling you that it is raining.

Here let me quote one of your other "buddies". Wise up!

Since no one has seen how he plays and he refused to say how, then how can his claims be mathematically proven.

Has any mathematician categorically stated that negative EV games without administration of some type of advantage CAN be beat day in and day out?

This was written about extensively. MDawg explained how he plays, and his claims were proven to be possible.

I don't think calendar days are a factor, total outcomes are a factor....doesn't matter what day it is.

A player CAN win consistently over a period defined as the number of outcomes that MDawg has recounted so far.

MDawg hasn't played enough such that it's mathematically impossible to have won...not even close to impossible.

I understand that Wizard has previously made clear that out-right accusing MDawg of not being an attorney is so tantamount to calling him a Liar, that it would be deemed as a personal insult.

I advise you that Wizard MIGHT decide to suspend you for this post.

However, for now, please accept this rebuke and reminder that Wizard's interpretation of what constitutes a personal insult can be quite strict.
You are not obliged to prove that you don't believe some of his claims, because that opinion needs no proof. But an accusation of lying would put the onus on you to defend that claim.

I think when the Wizard says it's time to put up or shutup in relation to MDawg displaying how he plays then even the Wizard has realized MDawg's claims are beyond the pale.

Apparently not, but it's very hard to get away with it for very long.

rainman implied that Marcus, BoSox and myself could be MDawg sock puppets.

Do you suspect that as well?

Do I suspect MD has a sock or two here? YES. Do I think he is clever enough not to get caught? YES.
Rainman? I don't think so.
BoSox? I don't think so.
You? I don't think so.
Marcus? Possibly, I think it's more likely that Marcus is a sock of someone else. I really haven't put that much thought into it so I don't really know. I do think it's a bit strange that he did a 360 regarding MDawg.
For some, it may be hard to get away with for very long. I know a few people who have had more than one account here for years, but since I like them, I say nothing.
Some people have only been busted because they purposely outed themselves.

I wish Mike would let me do an experiment to see how long I could pull off a sock puppet account, but methinks he is no fun when it comes to stuff like that.

See. I do smileys too.

So let me bring my attorney super powers to bear on this, since I just learned that nobody can say I'm not an attorney.

LOL.

Let me get this straight. Nobody can say, "MDawg's claims are a crock," because that implies that he's lying, but I can say (political incorrectness aside), "Anybody who believes MDawg's claims is a retard" because that does NOT directly attack MDawg's veracity and is also non-specific in that it refers to no particular individual as a retard.

Do I have that correct?

See, I am getting at something nuanced here. If I say, "Anybody who believes MDawg's claims is a retard," I'm not stating that the claims are impossible or that retards aren't occasionally correct on many things. What the statement implies is that anyone with a lick of worldliness or an IQ over 70 would not take the claims seriously. That is, as coach belly would undoubtedly agree, a statement of probabilistic likelihood as opposed to absolute certainty.

A broken clock is right twice a day, and retards are undoubtedly right quite often regarding exceedingly unlikely things, but they are wrong far more often.

So, anyway, let me know if I have a grasp of the rules and regs. I would, after all, hate to be banned for offending MDawg's sensibilties.

I'm not making any aspersions here

But it is a fact that most con games require the efforts of two people.

Generally one is a primary (who makes a claim or suggests others put up money)

The secondary is usually someone who appears unconnected (but mysteriously shows up always at just the pivotal moment) in order to goad the mark and affirm the primary so the mark winds up compelled to put up the stake.

Just saying, that's how con games work in general.

Certainly no one sees anything like that around here I am confident

Axel, I have recommended this in the past. We all just invent grotesque tales of exciting wins and banging supermodels (male, female, trans, no bias here). We try to one-up each other, under the aegis that no one can be called a liar.

It would be fun to see what props could be photographed in support of the tall tales. I have a lot of props here, and one of my friends has what amounts to serial killer and carnival memorabilia stretching back decades. We could have a grand old time.

Bonafides for what?

Only rich people can participate?

MDawg has said the money is to make it worth his time. That means he intends to receive the money and believes he will win a wager.

Which means risk is involved.

For you to claim showing up with a cashier's check for tens of thousands is just to show him a piece of paper and then put it back in your pocket is the full intent of asking for this check is sheer retardness

The required check from rainman is only to establish bonafides, there is no risk for him.

Mdawg who would not agree to it and even privately tried to talk Mike out of it.

This is none of your concern.

Again...facts not in evidence.

How could you have knowledge of their private communications?

That's true if a cashiers check for $500K means that you're rich, but rainman chose that bet.

MDawg is risking $500K and so am I, but rainman is risking nothing.

The required check from rainman is only to establish bonafides, there is no risk for him.

It's like establishing your net worth before being considered for membership to a country club, or ability to bid at an auction.

They are not setting up a scam to steal your deposit...they just want to establish that you have money before wasting their time considering you for membership.

So you and MDawg are also each showing up with half million dollar cashier's checks, lmao

your starting to sound desperate

You accepted the bet when it wasn't even offered to you.

Nobody is desperate for you to follow through, it was always understood that you could not.

No I am not required to show the check.

I am required to cover rainman's loss.

I'm also willing to cover your action, just say the word...put up or shut up.

Stop this nonsense about a bet. There was never going to be any bet. The terms were set by Mdawg to GUARANTEE that there would be no bet!

What there should be is Wizard witnessing Mdawgs play to fulfill the "time to put up or shup up" declaration that Wizard made back in December.

Absent Mdawg agreeing to that, I vote that he should not be given this platform (WoV) to continue to make these ridiculous claims. Let him fill his ego on that other stupid forum in which he is the only poster on.

With all the challenges/bets/freerolls etc, it's getting all convoluted. Let's specifically talk about Mike meeting with MDawg. Yeah, someone will have to ask MD what or if he is requiring Mike to do to watch him play. In the past MDawg said he wanted to meet with Mike and there was no talk of any requirements.

Since MD has gone on about trust issues/worthiness in the past, thus the requirements, unless he doesn't believe Mike is worthy/trustworthy then there shouldn't be any requirements. It should be fairly simple, you would think.

This is Mdawgs chance (again) to have his play verified by Wizard

I agree, the Wizard should insist on meeting and watching MDawg play...immediately!

I propose no conditions other than what the Wizard and MDawg agree upon.

The Wizard has all the leverage here, I'm not aware of any reason why he would not insist on the meetup.

But if he doesn't, then I'm willing to stipulate that he had a good reason not to meet.

Wait...what?...you clearly wrote that you accepted the bet, but now you are claiming that you wrote something else which meant that you weren't sincere?

You are correct I wasn't sincere...Its called sarcasm.

It's not a wager if I can't lose anything that's called bait for a potential scam
furthermore if I did make a wager don't you think I would be talking
to the other side (Mdawg) not you.

Someone asked me what the coronavirus risk might be in Vegas....

Well, both my wife and I are vaccinated now, but we both still wear masks. Everyone must wear a mask and there are also plexiglass barriers at the tables, but I suppose if someone right next to me had it, it could be a potential issue. We do not dine in restaurants and eat all takeout to minimize the risk.

There is definitely a risk - greater than say staying at home - but we were here a month and a half Oct/Nov 2020, and didn't catch it....

Started with this

in the suite, which got me thinking that things were really going to happen downstairs today.

First off my usual table had this insane Asian girl sitting at it, stacked, thin, shapely and very pretty. Some other Asian guy sat down next to her in the center spot, and I assumed they were together, but turns out they weren't. He bet recklessly and lost his entire bankroll, a few grand, relatively quickly.

As soon as he left, I moved right next to her and introduced myself. We got the fact that she had a boyfriend and I was married out of the way right off the bat, so there was none of that, instead we just tried to reason through the shoes together. Her problem, which I tried to point out to her, was that she wasn't pressing into the runs. She said that she was afraid to change her bet on the runs because it seemed like she would lose every time she increased. She also kept saying that she had this thing about constantly getting a nine without the ten or face to back it up.

Anyway, we had a couple of good shoes with some decent side by side runs, and she ended more or less even and left.

I kept playing, and occasionally another player would come up, play hard and pretty much lose, and leave. I was never up more than 2500 and at the end of the third shoe I left 2000 ahead, with a 600 average. I had a couple big bets, one 3000 and one 2000 (the 2000 was my final bet actually, which brought me back to +2000), and I won both of them. No case bets today. I did get as low as -2000 for the session at one point.

One thing that in an odd way threw me off a tad was that this one particular dealer simply ASSUMED that I was going to get a natural or something good every hand somehow, from my mannerisms. When I have two cards that I know add up to not much, such as a two sided and a three sided, I don't look much further and just wait for the dealer to open the opposing side at my request. I spend a tad more time looking to see if I have something good, if the combination of the two cards are such that there is hope that they will add up to 6 or better. But it was as if every time I looked at my cards, whether quickly or less than quickly, this dealer kept saying, "I know you have something good." Finally I had to say, "Come on - I don't get a nine EVERY time," and the dealer came back with, "I know you _____, you ALWAYS win." I actually didn't like playing with that dealer today because it interrupted the flow of my thinking to have that subtle pressure on me to win every hand. Maybe it had to do with that the hot young Asian girl (who wasn't by any means a skank - as corny as it might sound, she was a lovely girl) was local, and the dealers knew her even better than they knew me, and they wanted me to win for her. Certainly the girl was tipping out more than I was today! she had a green chip on the side of so many of her bets it eventually seemed as though it were a permanent appendage.

Anyway, I was fine with plus two grand by the end. A win is a win. Just toss it in the winner's envelope. Until tomorrow.

I won, but I think I do better alone.
