Best Blackjack Betting System

I came across this influx of Blackjack information after watching some Vegas documentary on YouTube. Apparently basic strategy is what the casinos want you to play so that you bust. Also, counting was designed by the casino industry to give people false confidence. Also, never split aces. Also, you need to sit so that at least three people are in front of you.

The video is basically an hour and half of him trying to sell the dealer bust strategy with some bizarre twists (I watched all of it thanks to not sleeping well lately). But, the thing I found the most interesting is the comments. There are a lot of believers. Apparently this guy also sells secret codes to day trading...…

This guy is a character and has a system for everything and can throw a football over 70 yards.....

I am not sure why I am posting this other than if you are bored, this video and comment section are amusing. This guy is either delusional or a marketing genius (he has some devout followers that probably buy all of his crazy systems.....)

He reminds me of that one guy (but even more extreme) who is in jail now whose name I cannot remember (used to sell horse betting systems and diet new age nonsense on infomercials).

If you have even a rudimentary understanding of blackjack you will know the pitch is a total load of shit in less than three minutes. He is quite audacious about claiming his theories are based on logic and mathematics when in fact the reasoning is blatantly faulty and the math would get a failing grade in elementary school. Entertaining only for its absurdity.

The scary part is how devout his followers seem to be, I guess there are a lot of conspiracy theorists. His Blackjack system is almost tame compared to his other "systems" and theories (and I first watched the video without knowing the craziness in the comments and other videos).

Counting absolutely does work if you can get away with it. I go to Vegas as the guest of a high roller who wagers $5-10K per hand. In the VIP room he gets single deck, blackjack pays 3:2, resplit aces, double any two, whole nine yards. He is an okay player but makes plenty of mistakes.

I have studied blackjack and play nearly error free basic strategy. I usually just watch him play but a couple of times the table minimum was low enough that I could play alongside at $25/hand. I was counting and varying my bet in a 1-4 range and tripled my starting stake. The pit boss knew what I was doing, heck, I could have been counting on my fingers for all they cared because my entire stack was less than my friend was betting per hand. They cared more about keeping him happy. The time I won $1000 he lost $50K. My counting didn’t even register.

As long as you ALWAYS play in the "wake of the whale" you'll be fine.

However, if that pit boss EVER sees you playing without Moby Dick, you'll be harpooned faster than you can say "Thar she blows!"

I talked to the pit boss later on my own. He said that as long as you keep your bets in a 1-4 range and aren’t betting black or purple chips they won’t hassle you for counting. He said the people they take issue with are the ones who bet table minimum and then throw out $1000 if the deck is in their favor.

The problem for me is you can’t get a game that favorable outside the VIP and I’m not going to try and count a shoe.

I’m there to play poker so I have no need to ruffle any feathers.
