Hi. During my last trip (this weekend) I devised 3 systems that worked perfectly.

1) When a new person comes up to the table who you know is woefully underfunded,, bet the opposite.

2) When you have a shooter that takes 2 minutes per roll because he has to adjust the dice so that they're...just...so , take the other side.

3) When you have the know it all at the table, do the opposite.

All 3 systems worked for me last weekend.

OK, works as good (and as poorly) as any other "system".

Yes, however, it's probably the best system there is.

I do this too. Of course, I don't call it a "system" but I do it to make a statement that I don't believe in their so-called skill.

I've noticed no-it-alls in craps are often the worst players, hedging and covering most of the sucker bets. I'll also bet the opposite way with them as just a statement.

As with all games, it is usually the quiet players who are most likely to know what they're doing.

Here's my corollary to this one:

Whatever the old Asian man is doing, bet with him. Especially at Baccarat and Pai Gow.

Many years ago I came up with a great system for roulette. I was in Caesars and some drunk kid with a lot of money came up to the table and bet $200 on 28 (this was 1982 so that works out to ~ $500 today). He lost but put down another $200. He lost 4 more times and then 28 hit. He pocket his winnings, picked up his drink, and stumbled off. I decided that the next time I encountered a drunk with a hunch and deep bankroll at a roulette table I would play along. On my next casino visit I realized I could improve on this approach. Instead of waiting for some drunk, I would get drunk myself and wait for the hunch. And it actually worked! Unfortunately now that I'm older I'm likely to fall asleep from all the booze before getting any sort of hunch.
My goal of being well informed conflicts with my goal of remaining sane.

This is pretty typical for any game.

it works sometimes but not always and the big problem comes when a player you are betting against increases his bet and you do not and he wins and you don't, or you increase your stakes and you lose because he wins.
I like hearing about betting advice, how to win, how to avoid losing etc. Like all the stories people I meet in casinos tell me.
